Re: Welcome to the new site!

He knows how to position his body to see the game -- he knows how to twist and articulate his legs to watch the action on EITHER side of the court. His gluteus are strong - and he is willing to learn. He rotated between the end and middle of the bench elegantly " said one Western Conference GM...

Re: Zach Lowe: Suns a viable place for Lebron James

With the last year of rehabbing and rest, I think Nash is due for a comeback season, to be honest. It wouldn't surprise me if he still put up good numbers in 25mpg or so. I disagree. He's 41. He desperately wanted to stay on the court last year and just couldn't do it. I think his body is just no l...

Re: Zach Lowe: Suns a viable place for Lebron James

Lebron would never go to the Lakers. For so many reasons.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

I have never liked Derrick Favors, and Alec Burks seems pretty "meh" to me despite being one of the better players in his draft. Jazz must be targeting a forward at #1 (Parker?) if they are so quick to discard their own starting big.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I think GSW and Minny will eventually cave and make that trade. The well is too poisoned to bring these guys back to their respective teams now.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

@ESPNSteinLine: Hearing: Knicks have explored possibility of swapping Iman Shumpert for late 1st rounder I think I would give #27 for Shumpert and have our 4 man guard rotation pretty much locked for the foreseeable future. What's Shump's contract status? I'd do it if he's not due for a big payday ...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

I'd love to bring in Jimmer. I still think that this is the perfect team for him, and I wish he were one of our free agency targets.

Sure he can. But he looks like the dad from the Jeffersons when he does it.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

I thought Frye was opting out so that he could get a slightly lower amount, multi-year deal, preferably from the Suns.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

It's a wise move for Kerr. Bring in a savvy veteran to help, but make it somebody he knows and can trust not to undermine his authority. I already think he will be more successful than Mark Jackson.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

That news makes me smile. Gentry is a great guy, and he still has ties to Kerr from the late SSOL era. Glad to see them working together again. He'll be good for the Warriors.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

I actually don't think the Wolves would be all that bad with Klay. Rubio + Klay is a great backcourt, and they have Pek, Dieng, Budinger, Brewer, Shved, and Shabazz Muhammad. Not a great team, but with that backcourt and roster they could be decent. I agree that you want draft picks when trading a s...

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft

INF is right that the 2013 draft has a lot of NBA rotation guys in it, contributors. But the NBA title often comes down to having the right stars and leaders, and I don't see a lot of those kind of guys from last year's draft. Not a lot of guys who seem like they'll be one of the top 2-3 guys on a t...

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft

I just don't put any stock in what GMs say to the media before the draft. They're in spin mode. I'm going to wait and see what they do on draft day and in free agency. I don't know what I think about the Len/Goodwin draft; it hasn't been super impressive so far, but I'll give it more time.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

and this is why the lakers are a mess and will be so for the next 2 seasons. nobody wants to coach this team and star free agents will wait kobe out until after 2016. Absolutely right. I think free agents would still go there if they thought the team was going to have a chance at being a contender....

Re: Around the league: June 2014

It's not really a joke. Gambling places set odds not based on how likely they think it is for the team to win, but on what people are going to bet. They are trying to set the odds exactly such that half of the people will bet each side, so that no matter what happens, the house will get a profit. Th...
