Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

This is rough, man, when you look at all those moves together. Those are a lot of assets out, and the return is minimal. I just don't understand how a 19-win team can make moves like that. McD was criticized because he seemed to understand only the concept of value/assets, but had no skill to deal ...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

What do the Hornets do here? All they have now is a solid chance at the #1 pick. I bet we could pawn Josh Jackson and Melton/Okobo on THAT team. They're down two point guards and should be looking to tank. Thing about Josh is - he's either going to turn the corner this year, or he'll burn your court...

Re: Free Agent Targets

Listening to Zach Lowe podcast, he’s got Brian Windhorst on. He thinks Beverley is our target. And maybe we show up Sunday at 6 with all our cap space. The showing up on Sunday at 6 was a hypothetical scenario to question what Beverley would do. Would he wait to see what the clippers do? Or just ta...

Re: Free Agent Targets

Remember when somebody was asking what we do with the cash we get back in the Warren trade? It would help relieve the financial burden of doing a stretch and waive like we're talking about with Tyler. If we hadn't traded TJ, the narrative of draft night would have been instead that we had sacrifice...

Man, if only we had gone after Smart last year instead of DAR this year. :(

Re: Who to pick at 6

I think that Garland could become an elite shooter. I'm just wondering what type of player he becomes. Will he be the next Steph Curry, Monta Ellis, Lou Williams or Malik Monk? This is the question. Garland is so young, and our sample size so small, that this is all projection. His frame is slight....

Re: Who to pick at 6

Have we talked much about Garland here? I've just watched the highlights, but he doesn't look like a good defender or a true distributor. I just see him as a shooter and a guy who can create his own shot. Those are valuable skills, but that's not enough for me. Is there more to him than that? Yes, ...

I’d be all in for trading 6 to Atl for two of their 3 1sts.

If we're talking about Culver, Garland, White and Hunter in our range, we have no business keeping the pick.

Re: Who to pick at 6

I just changed my pick to Clarke after watching his NCAA tournament highlights. He'd look good next to Ayton and shore up his weaknesses. If we draft him though, I still hope he's playing a backup role to Randle. Watching his games in the NCAA tournament was enough for me. Just incredible defensive...

Hey guys, long time no see. Wanna talk about Brandon Clarke? Have you heard of Brandon Clarke? Brandon Clarke! :D Good to see you, OE. Any chance you like Brandon Clarke at #6? :) Good to see you, too, supe. Nice to see a lot of familiar friendly faces still hanging out here. As to your question, I...

It'll be interesting to see how long Koko stays with these vets when they're giving us so little. I don't understand how TJ isn't playing 38 minutes a night given his level of play. When do we see Melton or Okobo get more of a shot?

Re: Suns News: Week 1 10/17-10/21

I'm looking forward to free agency if we look good this season. Could be that free agent PGs come knocking on our door, rather than the other way around. Kyrie, Kemba, Goran, Tyreke, [Bledsoe], Rubio, Collison, Dinwiddie, Beverley, Rondo and Teague could all be unrestricted next season. That's a he...

Re: Suns News: Week 1 10/17-10/21

Conley is on the wrong side of 30 and has two years left on his deal after this year. In two years he'll be making 34! million. HARD PASS. I would much rather have Teague at $19, TJ Mcconnell at a MLE type deal, Terry Rozier at 15-20, Dragic for the remainder of his deal or Dame Dolla/Kemba Walker ...

Jackson needs to just take what the offense gives him and work his butt off filling the holes on both ends. Leave the shot creation to Devin, Deandre and basically anyone else for now. Calm down, play strong.

Re: Point Guards

It’s a staring contest and everyone knows we are about to blink. I wonder what the prices are for Clippers guards Teodosic and Beverley. I seen Beverley play this preseason, he looks great and I think they should keep him while they play their rookie. They’re right to ask for a late to mid 1st roun...

Re: Ryan out as GM

I don't know that I'd describe his jumper as broken. He's not a good shooter right now, but he's shown that he can hit shots when in rhythm . I don't know that he'll ever be a good shooter, but if he can just figure out what shots are good shots for him and be more consistent with his form, I think...

Re: Ryan out as GM

Ya, seems strange. Or maybe we just lied about Bridges being the guy we wanted. We called Philly to trade up, but we were planning on taking SGA. When Philly said no, we tried with Charlotte, but they traded with LA instead. Philly called back when Zhaire was still there and asked if we wanted Brid...
