haha for sure I can't. I picked Reed like 30 spots early. Carey Jr went just two picks later than my #30 though.

Re: Around the League: Offseason
In my opinion, Turner fits perfectly in BOS; I concede he has not improved at the desired rate since his rookie season, but even if he never develops further, he still is a defensive anchor (led the league in blocks in 2019 in his age 22 season) who can shoot from three. And he is signed until 2023 ...

Re: Around the League: Offseason
Guys, get this: Danny Ainge had an offer from IND for Gordon Hayward, an unrestricted free agent who notoriously wanted out of BOS after three years of injuries and a diminishing role. The Pacers were willing to give up (via sign and trade) Miles Turner, a 1stR and a 'rotation player' (apparently it...

Re: Free Agency Thread
Yay, Dario is returning! Everything is looking good for the new season. Glad he decided to come back, and that's a pretty fair contract. Considering what others were getting, I think it’s a reasonable deal. I didn't want him back after the Bubble concluded because I didn't feel we could trust his 1...

Re: Suns News: Offseason
Paul 30, Booker 35, Bridges 28, Crowder 28, Ayton 30.
Payne 12, Carter 12, Cam 28, Smith 17.
20 minutes still available to Saric/Baynes/???
Nader will have to show a lot to make the rotation.

Oh yeah. I didn't even count GSW. If Curry is healthy it's hard to imagine them out of the playoffs.

Re: Free Agency Thread
L-tax is at $139M. Including Carter, Payne, Nader and Smith, the Suns have $112M on the books, so they can spend non trivial money on both Saric and Baynes if they want to, which would be wise to do since you need to create salary mass for further moves in a win-now plan.

Re: Are you excited for the ‘20-‘21 season?
I am interested. Like, actually looking forward to watch the games, actively thinking about ways to make the next leap, etc. I haven't had that in a long time. But I don't think we are more than a playoff contender. I see PHX as no guarantee to make the postseason and in no way already a lock, like...

https://twitter.com/shamscharania/status/1330368422090321921 So much for the Lakers making the Clippers worse. I actually love the Harrell-Ibaka change for LAC. Apparently it is a 2 year/9M per contract. Absolute steal getting Ibaka for the MLE. His agent has failed him if the second year is not a ...

Re: I can't believe we don't have a dedicated thread on Jae Crowder, so here it is!
It's an ok move. Not bad but not great. Crowder is the type of player we needed, a SF/PF who can defend and shoot. But beware as he is not great at shooting: besides last half season in MIA, Crowder has shot better than 35% from 3pt only once (2017 in BOS). So in a sense I am relieved that Jones has...

Re: Free Agency Thread
So who’s still out there we can bring in to the back court? Jordan McRae is my top choice right now. Langston Galloway, E’Twaun Moore, Jeff Teague, Reggie Jackson, Jordan McLaughlin, Shabazz Napier...who else? I bet Jones feels we are set at backup PG with Payne, although Teague could be interestin...

Re: Suns News: Offseason
Sure, but how much more? He's a 6'1" PG with no real PG skills. He can defend some & shoot it quite well from deep. How much is that worth? This is the golden era of the 3D player (look at how much freaking Melton has gotten). I bet a number of teams would be glad to have him. I believe so...

Re: Free Agency Thread
Maybe no suns news is good news with some of these deals being handed out. Exactly. But Woods on a terrific contract was there for the taking. He’s got a huge role in Houston. He’s the only big man there. Think that probably played a big role as well. Probably. Here he'd be known as maybe the missi...

Re: Who is Jalen Smith?
Woods would have made sense for this team even with Smith. You get a 4/5 and a 5/4. Plus Ayton and Cam, that's a terrific frontcourt.
