Re: Around the League: Week of 3/10-3/16

I think they should do anything they can to stop Melo from leaving. He is really their only asset. I know he isn't a perfect player, but he's still a top 2-3 scorer in the league and a top-10 overall player for sure. You can build a contender around him. Do whatever you can to get him to stick arou...

Re: Around the League: Week of 3/10-3/16

The Knicks are beyond clueless. Jackson is not the answer to any of their problems.

Re: Game Day: Cavs (24-40) @ Suns (36-27) , Wed 3/12/14

The goal would be to end up 10th in the West so that the Suns get two lotto picks -- their own and likely the Minnesota pick. While it would be nice to be able to evaluate some of the players in a playoff context, this scenario is honestly the best thing that could happen to the Suns. This scenario...

Re: Game Day: Cavs (24-40) @ Suns (36-27) , Wed 3/12/14

1stQ = 37 points. By the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hawes torching us. No rebounding, no defense. I am starting to get pissed off by Kieff and Frye's interior D. Kieff is Amare like, he just watches. Frye tries, but he is slow and weak, and for some reason I can't understand, he doesn't put his arms up. I...

Re: From the comic to the screen.

I don't know what will happen with Days of Future Past, but linking it credibly to X3 won't be easy, at least if they plan to keep internal coherence, but we'll see. They have credit after First Class. And if En sabah Nur is the next foe, all the better, because that will open the door to the Dark R...

Pau is not the relevant player I am talking about. This is not 2008 anymore. Can't you tell by Nash?

Re: From the comic to the screen.

I'll go first. Last week I watched X-Men first Class for the first time. This has been the first time I've paid attention to superhero movies in a long time and I have to say that It's good. Fassbender makes a very interesting young Magneto. Xavier is not bad either, but not as good. There is also a...

From the comic to the screen.

Since there is a thread dedicated to comic books, I though some would like to dis·cuss about comic book adaptations. What movie sucked the most? Best one? As an adaptation? Just best film in general? Which one made you loss your faith in this genre? Etc. Here http://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/char...

I'll also say that I believe this roster absolutely needs one more relevant player at any of the frontcourt spots, ideally the one whose current tenants are the weakest links, to enter serious territory.

Another poor game on defense, and way too many turnovers. It's been ongoing since the allstar break, and if Kieff, Green and Dragic are not all absolutely on fire, our chances take a drastic hit, pretty much regardless of the rival. Bledsoe can't come back soon enough. Do you feel that this team wa...

I watched that game. Noah was amazing, and Augustin was a hell of a shot in the arm. Very much like Steve Blake for the Warriors.

Also, freaking Pacers can't win against the Mavs despite Dirk's poor game.

Is Howard an all time great? Real all-time? I think he has missed his chance, or at least he is on his way.

Green, the Morrii and Goran combined for almost 90 freaking points. Impressive, absolutely amazing win. The defense is still missing but everybody contributed big time (even Len, beyond the fouls), and the rebounding was there tonigh, on both ends. Again, make the damn FTs. Besides Green's absurd ma...

Re: Suns News: Week of 3/2-3/9

So they think they did a fine job defensively against the Clipps? Paul didn't torch us and points that you can't guard everybody while mentioning Barnes in the 3Q. Well, it was not just one player. Collison also was allowed to shoot alone a bunch of times, even 2014 Jared Dudley had an absurdly easy...

So yeah, the 76rs are doing the most obvious tank job ever. I still don't get the indignation. It's their choice, the rules allow it and it's been done before. Only recently the media and fans have started to consider it a big deal and something dishonest. Personally I believe a franchise, above all...

Lol, I remember some folks on Spurstalk joking that "we never lose a Finals." Gotta admit, I was happy either way. Either to see the Spurs fans (mainly the Duncan/Ginobili riders) actually face some tribulation, or to see the King humbled once again. ...I do wonder how many of the ST post...

Re: Is Alex Len a bust?

Probably my biggest grudge against Kerr is how he didn't stand in Sarver's way when he ordered moves that everybody knew were extremely harmful, but did so when it was time for 'rewards' after the 2010 run. Still, not the only stain. Shaq was an abomination, even if you wanted to use him in a reduce...
