So glad we mostly sat things out from a major free agent signing standpoint last year.Ring_Wanted wrote:Lowkey Ryan Anderson was another terrible contract last offseason. The contract frenzy has a stupid amount of people making 17-18M per or more.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Am I the only one that could talk themselves into being ok with Love for 4? Never. With love playing in front of Chriss/Bender, that would essentially mean we threw away two years to grab a medium range star who really doesn't move the needle for us. Where are we with a Bledsoe/Booker/Love core? 7-...

Re: Around the League: The Offseason
All this being said, the Celtics can almost certainly one-up us when it comes to any offer. So that sucks.

Re: Around the League: The Offseason
Well you start with Knight and work up. I think the 4 pick is a legit starting point. They'd have a shot at Fox, Tatum or Jackson and at 8 could take Markkanen. Word is the Knicks really covet Jackson. If he is available at #4, I would approach them with a Bledsoe/#4/Bender/future Pick for Porzingi...

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
If you draft DSJ you better believe he's a star. He's a ball dominant, offense runs through him pg in the Westbrook, Rose, Francis, Marbury mold. If he's Rose or Westbrook it might work, but if he's Francis or Marbury, I think you've got a 6 seed ceiling unless you have an Anthony Davis/KAT level b...

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
The more I think about this draft, the more convinced I become that we should take a swing at the fences and draft DSJ. This is assuming, of course, that top 3 remains Fultz, Ball, and Jackson in some order. If DSJ played on a team even a quarter as talented as Kentucky, I think we would be talking...

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
To clarify, my big board (not taking into account any team needs) goes as follows: 1) Fultz 2) Ball 3) Jackson 4) Isaac 5) DSJ 6) Monk 7) Tatum 8) Fox 9) Lauri 10) Nitilikina I think Isaac is a better prospect than DSJ, but you can't draft him the year after drafting both Chriss and Bender. It's ju...

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
Isaac seems to fill more holes for us than Jackson. Every write up of Jackson I read seems to say, "he is really great, except for these 9 worrisome things." All the ones for Isaac are the exact opposite; "He is a good player, and here are all of the things he can do better than most...

Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
We shouldn't trade the pick. No more shortcuts. We have lots of great options at 4. I am sad that we didn't get the #1, but I don't think the difference between 2-6 in this draft is all that big. There is a good chance Jackson falls to us, which would be ideal. If not, it will likely come down to Fo...

Re: 2017 NBA Draft Lottery
I'm going to utter blasphemy.... If we don't get the first or second pick, I'd rather trade down and get Lauri Markkanen at 7-10. Jackson and Tatum's s*** 3 point shooting, and Monk's lack of passing ability are all the things that are already killing this team. We need distributors and shooters mo...

The Thunder love picking up players who can't shoot, who they think they can teach to shoot, but who never make ANY progress in actually learning to shoot.
