It’s certainly not ideal to miss the entire preseason with a new team which has a new coach. I doubt he really hits his straps until the new year, assuming he stays healthy.

Maluach’s game is very promising - love to see it! Still much prefer Goodwin to Butler. I’m not that confident in NHD -he’s definitely worth a roster spot to see what pans out but I can’t see it amounting to much (hope I’m wrong).

I think Oso could be a decent 8th/9th player on a good team but you need a specific roster around him which we don’t have - mainly more size overall and a 3-point shooting 5 who’s also good on D. So not many teams for Oso and not ours as currently constructed

Through 16 Miniutes - Ighodaro -20 Richards +8 They really need Williams to stay healthy to be competitive. Richards is a perfectly good bench 5. I know we want Oso to be good, but he would be in the bottom 5 starting Centers in the league unfortunately, if that was what we rolled out in real games ...

Don’t like this line-up to start the second at all. This is where Green as a shot creator would be handy.

Yep, not a good start at all for the Suns. They got some decent looks but didn’t drop early - but mainly from the mid range (and very few of the kind of shots they would like to be creating). Defense was non exisitant in the opening exchanges - Nets just doing whatever they wanted.

Jalen Green needs to shoot 3s and get to the rim (to score, get fouled or make an easy passh and not do much of anything in between. His mid range %s are appalling.
I’m not sure he or the FO want to commit to that kind of role (ie keep it simple - 3s and get to the basket) but I think they should.

Brooks at least tries on defense. If that can rub off on the rest of the team, that will at least be something of an improvement on last season.

I’m happy enough to get Nash in the org and work out the final details later. Even if it is a splashy name hire, that might not be the worst idea right now.

Kuminga just doesn’t like doing the things that would make him a good player and the things he likes doing make his team worse and don’t make him better as a player.
I can see the attraction of getting him but would rather keep our powder dry for now.

Or they’re all doing the same thing (or similar) so can’t be critical.
