Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

It’s a weird way of referencing it but he is not wrong that there’s always a few teams who surprise and a few that disappoint compared to expectations. Personally I wouldn’t draw attention to the fact my team underachieved for the last couple of seasons but we do live in hope that things might be dif ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

Oso can’t shoot at all. It is going to be hard for him to find decent minutes without providing some shooting - especially next to Williams. And especially especially if you are trying to also play Dunn. Even with theoretical floor spacing Maluach, it’s a clunky fit as I’d want Maluach near the baske ...

Re: Suns 25/26 Mid-Summer Record Prediction

I think we’re around 31 wins. The potential is there for more wins but that would require everything to go right, including injury. Booker is usually good for a couple of stints on the sidelines each season and we are not going to be good at all during those times. Likewise it’s optimistic to expect ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

I don’t recognise many of those names as being long time, experienced NBA coaches, which is not a bad thing at all. This team can use some fresh ideas and the idea of a team growing together with its coaches has merit.

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News

Kuminga having a no trade clause is wild. I’m a no for Kuminga. He doesn’t fit for this team - not really a 4, not a great 3 point shooter or defender.

Re: Suns 2025-26 Roster Breakdown

It would be amazing if he could hold up defensively and pop as that 3rd scoring option. I think Brooks is going to end up being our 3rd highest scorer which as you say is not great. The other option is Williams stays healthy and is that guy, which would be better (obviously not as a shot creator but ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

I’m ok with Goodwin. I think he defends well which makes him easier to play next to Booker and/or Green.

Re: Suns 2025-26 Roster Breakdown

I'm really looking forward to seeing what NHD play. I hope he forces his way into the rotation as our 3rd scorer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryy1FAX-Qnc&ab_channel=EUROLEAGUEBASKETBALL I’d be tempering expectations a little. I think he’s got a role to play for sure but not sure it’s as a 3rd sc ...

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News

It’s weird to read that no team has a worse long-term outlook than the Suns (quite possibly true) when I am feeling much more optimistic after the draft season. Glutton for punishment I guess!!

Re: Suns select Khaman Maluach #10 overall in 2025 NBA Draft

My take - which is pretty cold rather than hot take territory - is that this was a really good, solid pick. Is Maluach a perfect prospect? Clearly no. But if he was, he would not have been on the board at #10. But to get a player judged by some (granted not all) as the best on the board, at a ...

What are people’s thoughts on Monte Morris? I thought he was reasonably solid in the few bits I saw of him last season.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Round 2

This is a good interview with Brian Gregory by Gambo. I like that he gives a lot of the credit to the team of guys he manages. https://youtu.be/uK3j66xuzGU?si=zAWKjokKCz2fcGrz I must say Gregory has sounded much more assured and impressive in his post-draft interviews than he did in the awful ...

That’s certainly possible but I would think it’s more possible and more likely that a young player who’s only been playing for a short time can improve in a lot of different areas, including conditioning

Yahoo gave us an A for every pick. Look these grades mean nothing but I’m just so use to us getting dunked on by all the media it’s a shock to the system.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT NIGHT!

My overarching take on the Suns’ draft is it was nice that they seemed to have a clear plan and executed it. And that you don’t need to go through any mental gymnastics to justify their selections. Along their clear needs were size, defense and shooting and they took players who look to tick those bo ...

Plenty of time to address it, but what the Suns badly need is some shot creation.

Everyone but Book and Green on the roster is a play finisher, not a play starter.
Brad Beal exists... 😆
Does he though??!! 😂

We are definitely selling off Richards, Royce for future 2nds. No doubt in my mind. Idk if it’ll be tonight but I don’t see both of them being on this team by training camp.
Agreed

Re: Suns select Khaman Maluach #10 overall in 2025 NBA Draft

I really like the kid. Seems like a genuine dude with a really good attitude and enthusiasm. Very good character fit and locker room energy. Basketball-wise I don't think we have very many minutes for him given Williams and Richards being on the roster. That's okay; we can take our time bringing ...

On his clips he has a good-looking shot. He hit a couple of jumpers including a corner three in that Olympic clip someone posted today. (Small sample size obviously but still)
