Re: Suns Draft Day 2014
I kind of get it. Anderson would replace Frye and myabe the Suns feel he'd be cheaper in the long run at 17mil over the next two years as opposed to a deal Frye would want. One thing is that he had neck surgery in April to repair a herniated cervical disc. That stuff always scares me. Green is someo...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Iguodala was talking up Frye on a radio broadcast today. Trying to recruit him if they don't get Love.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
I'd be inclined to trade Bledsoe tonight if I thought we could land Marcus Smart.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
I have this strange feeling Bledsoe doesn't want to re-sign here and the feeling like we're ok with that. I think we like the dual PG scoring backcourt. I also think Payton has a bit of lillard in him and I'm actually excited about that.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
I'd say pretty spot on. Tskitishvili was a practice player, like Lampe, and all those other 17 year old Euros back then who impressed in workouts and blew people away in drills but couldn't play the game. I think Exum will be fine with good coaching and time to develop. He won't be Lillard or Westbr...

Re: Zach Lowe: Suns a viable place for Lebron James
It's a pipedream but LeBron make a ton of sense here. He's supposedly close with Bledsoe, could slide right in at at the 3, we have the stretch 4s in Kieff and Marcus (Frye notwithstanding) and at least a viable big in Plumlee (with Len still a wildcard). We'd have Goodwin, Green and at least 2 othe...

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
It would be a great smokescreen. The 49ers, despite loving Kaepernick, never worked him out prior to the draft so he'd stay off their radar.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
New rumor is that the Kings put out a feeler to us on Bledsoe, offering IThomas and the 8th pick for him. Kind of out of left field, hasn't really been validated.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I actually like Frye in Detroit if they move/lose Monroe. He could help stretch the floor between Smoove and Drummond.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
Saric only signed that deal because he probably couldn't get a lotto/top 10 guarantee. There's just something off about him and his situation. I think he's been the product of great hype and promotion without really proving to be an impact, every game player.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
Dario Saric will be in Europe for at least 2 more years. Has an out in 2016. I've seen some mocks with us taking him, glad he's out of the draft. He scares the hell out of me. The Knicks might be looking to trade Shump for a late round pick. If he's healthy, I'd trade the 27th for him in a heartbeat.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Agree. It should be more about restructure, unless we feel like the Morris Bros can take his place with their shooting and rebounding for cheaper. I'd like to see Frye kept at the right price. I just don't like him as a starter.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft
Kinda sad...Baylor bigman Isaiah Austin's career is done. He's been diagnosed with Marfan's syndrome which affects joints and ligaments (among other things). I know Inf was big on him, myself not as much. Still, sad that he won't be able to continue playing.

We also had Onuaku, who I think outplayed Oriakhi in SL last year. But another 6-8ish 270 banger type.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft
I think, given the way the league is now, having Bledsoe and Dragic, gives us a big advantage on the perimeter. It's a bit unconventional but they could form an elite backcourt that makes it very difficult for teams to defend because of their PG skills and ability to score in various ways.

IIRC he was a young up and coming coach until some allegations/violations came up about him using JUCO as kind of a farm system for his program. There may have been more than that but I remember reading about that in SI.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
He came from an organization that drafted Sullinger, Big Baby and Perkins. So he may indeed like bigger, wide body players.
