I think that is a little too generous. Yes, Ishbia is the main culprit, but Jones has made plenty of blunders that are also catching up to him and the organization.

He is handling the ball more and charged with more initiation of the offense. So it exposes more. And the offensive coaching has taken a step back or three.

Yeah, I do think the chances are high that Lue comes here. But that is somewhat disappointing because it will mean that we're just running it back with the same group.Wally_West wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 7:46 pmClips gonna get waxed in 5 and Ty Lue will leave and go to Suns after Vogel is fired.

https://twitter.com/KevinOConnorNBA/status/1782955009690480958 So this is a funny / cringey pair of videos of Eubanks botching post moves. But I do think the tweet misses the point. You don't sign a minimum salary backup center and then expect him to carry your offense with his crazy post moves. Th...

I just don't think you can count us out yet. Minnesota just did what they were supposed to do. We've got two must win games coming up. Hopefully Vogel can make some adjustments he hasn't been willing to make yet. I agree to a certain extent. I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns won both games in Pho...

Re: Game Day: Suns (28-20) @ Hawks (20-27), Fri 2/2/24
Yeah, we're in a tough spot due to the poor roster construction. We have just short of a thousand small shooting guards, which puts us at a defensive disadvantage. So as much as I would love to be able to run Book with a point guard, it becomes extremely hard to do when you want to have one of Grays...

Re: Game Day: Suns (28-20) @ Hawks (20-27), Fri 2/2/24
I'm curious why so many still think we need a pg. Again we have a 130 offensive rating with our starting lineup…Do we realize how good that is? It’s best offense of all time good and it’s not close. I mean that's great if that lineup could play 48 minutes every night. It would also be great if that...

Re: 2023 Suns General Offseason/PostSeason News Thread
What happened to overpaying our own free agents (such as Bazley or others) so we could hold on to tradeable contracts/salary slots? That rumor just went by the wayside. Umm, we signed better players for much less money. That seems like the more optimal strategy than overpaying scrubs for theoretica...

Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Something tells me this is going to be one of those situations where everyone acts like things are cool but there's underlying tension that's palpable. Hopefully it derails their season. https://twitter.com/ESPNNBA/status/1681688922898792450?s=20 So let me get this straight: they gave away draft ca...

Re: 2023 Suns General Offseason/PostSeason News Thread
I am holding out hope that Killian Hayes falls out of the rotation in Detroit, and the Pistons try to get something for him before he hits free agency. He makes more than we can bring in with the TPE. You're right; I was still thinking of his salary last season. He gets quite a bump in this final y...

Re: 2023 Suns General Offseason/PostSeason News Thread
I just look at this Payne trade as, we would rather have the combination of multiple 2nd round picks, a trade exception, and $26m in savings than Payne. That's probably right. I don't care super much about the $26m because it isn't my money, but the picks and the flexibility of the trade exception ...

Also watch New Orleans with their payroll and Kira Lewis Jr. If the Clippers get ravaged by injuries, maybe they'll make an L-Tax move (Plumlee, Boston Jr., Preston).

Re: 2023 Suns General Offseason/PostSeason News Thread
Problem is the picks weren’t part of the Payne trade. They are separate and we could have kept Payne and acquired the picks. It was definitely a straight salary dump and we gave up a 2nd round pick and 5.7 million to do it. Thank you, Spilt. The Suns were smart to release the news of the Magic trad...

Re: 2023 Suns General Offseason/PostSeason News Thread
Yeah, if we win it all, I don't care about future seasons. But the FO still should. I care. I get everyone is desperate for a championship, but I prefer operating for sustained success (Spurs, Warriors) instead of going the L.A. Rams route. I realize most fans just want a championship no matter wha...
