Re: Coronavirus

My approach to dieting is very unorthodox. I don't particularly try to ban certain foods or behaviors. But I do put up a few gentle roadblocks that make eating a bit more of a chore, or at least force me to reckon with what I'm eating. When I'm dieting, I do these three things only: - Before eating ...

Another protest, this time at Emory University in Atlanta. The cops throw a professor to the ground and cuff her.

Re: Social media

I try not to re-post every stupid thing Elon says. But it is just wild to me that the CEO / owner of a company making electric cars would call people who want to fight climate change "communists." Isn't that an attack on his own customers? What is he thinking? https://twitter.com/RightWing...

Re: AZ indicts Republicans for effort to overturn 2020 election

We probably won't ever agree on this stuff. I personally am strongly in favor of accountability to members of both parties when they break the law. IMO Trump has broken the law several times in serious ways, and I support him having his day in court over that. Ditto with those of his supporters who ...

Re: 2024 Playoffs: Around the League Round 1 News Thread

Orlando was really uninspiring in the first two games against Cleveland, but the Magic crushed the Cavs last night 121-83. What a swing that was. Magic are young and inexperienced, so maybe they just play a lot better at home. I picked them to win their series (oops?) so it was nice to see them show...

Re: 2024 Playoffs: Around the League Round 1 News Thread

Nice to see Denver beat the Lakers, 112-105, last night. They're now up 3-0 and may sweep. Everybody overrates the Lakers every year, but Lebron can't carry mediocre teams to titles any more at this point of his career.

Re: Game Day - Playoff Edition - Game 2: Suns (0-1) @ Wolves (1-0), Tues 4/23/24

I just don't think you can count us out yet. Minnesota just did what they were supposed to do. We've got two must win games coming up. Hopefully Vogel can make some adjustments he hasn't been willing to make yet. I agree to a certain extent. I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns won both games in Pho...

On a personal note, I arrived in the Valley today as I make my return to my home state and start the next chapter of my life. I will get to watch the game on the local AZ Family 3TV. Excited about that. Also, hope to see some of you in the coming year. AIG owes me a meal and beer for one! (Thanks B...

This is an example of a trade package that would be really tough to swallow. I do think this team is a dead end, but I would not want to make trades like these.

Re: 2024 Suns General Offseason News

And Beal would have to agree. Right. He never would agree. Honestly I would trade KD for Trae Young (plus whatever pieces on either side of the deal), even though I think KD is a better player in a vacuum. KD is too redundant with Book in the sense of "guy you give it to who will take a tough ...

Re: Coronavirus

Didn't want to make a whole new thread about this unless it becomes a bigger story. But there's a new bird flu, H5N1, that has been running wild and has more recently made its way into cows. Apparently traces of it have been found in milk products. Some are scared that this could lead to another bad...
