Re: 2016 NBA DRAFT

Ford switched us to bender on his final mock. I lean slightly Chriss, but I'm OK with bender.

Re: 2016 NBA DRAFT

No red flags, he just is not that good Fair enough, in reality, this is just a weak draft in general. I hope we don't compare whoever we pick to porzingis from last year. The 4th pick this year is more like the 10-14 of last year. Jaylen Brown is 3-8 this year while justise Winslow went 10th last y...

Re: 2016 NBA DRAFT

Been trying to focus on the positives of drafting Chriss too but just having a hard time doing it. All the red flags that Chriss has are like the worst kind of red flags there are. I'm not sure what these red flags are everyone is talking about. He's a poor defensive rebounder and he fouls a lot. I...

Re: 2016 NBA DRAFT

My ideal draft if we don't make any trades
4. Chriss
13. Valentine
28. Luwawu or Yabusule if luwawu is gone
34. Yabusule or Lavert

Re: 2016 NBA DRAFT

I like Chriss, but I think I'm one of the few. He's a bad rebounder and he fouls a lot, but he's also only 18. He's the best athlete in the draft, he protects the rim, he stretches the floor and has all the tools to be a solid defender who can switch onto perimeter players. Also, he's a bad defensiv...

Re: Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

Where was it reported? I liked Dunn at one point, but I've cooled on him. At best he's a bigger Kyle Lowry/Eric Bledsoe. And h'e'd need to learn how to shoot. But I'd definitely be for a full rebuild. Dunn-Booker-Warren-13th pick-Len would be pretty bad again next year and get us a high pick in what...

In a backcourt with Booker and Valentine, oladipo doesn't need to be elite shooter

Re: Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

I'm not sold on Chriss, Bender, or Murray. Combined with our overloaded guard situation, I'd pass on Murray. If we move knight, I guess Murray wouldn't be terrible, but I think Hield is better. As for Chriss and bender, I'm intrigued enough by both that I would be ok with either. I'm leaning Chriss ...

Re: NBA Draft Prospects Discussion

What does everyone think of Caris Lavert? 6'7 with length. Good spot up shooter, good passer. 45% from 3, 4.9 Ast to 1.6 turnovers. He'll struggle on d if he can't bulk up as he's very skinny, but he's athletic and has the tools to be a good defender. Injury issues are real as he can't seem to stay ...

Re: Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

Butler can play the 3 easily and I wouldn't hesitate to move Knight and #4 for him. Trading the 4th pick is probably my first option if guys like Butler and D'angelo Russell are really available. Knight and #4 for Butler is reasonable. But we would have to find a way to move PJ. How about PJ, Archi...

Re: Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

https://theringer.com/marquese-chriss-nba-draft-2016-eab2962355fb#.2u03m79py Interesting read on Chriss Highlights: The big selling point is his athleticism. At 6-foot-10, 233 pounds, with a 7-foot wingspan, Chriss is a big man who moves like a guard. He gets off the ground quickly and he plays way ...

Re: Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

Are there any past players any of you guys can think of with all the red flags of Chriss that turned it around and became a starter-level NBA player? Great question. Hoping there's a better answer than - at the top of the draft, I can't recall anyone. But essentially ever star picked outside the lo...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)

I'm sure the suns would have loved that. Lottery picks won't workout with other players anymore though. There is no benefit to them. Brown has been working out against anyone. Dunn also said he'd only work out against Simmons, Ingram, Bender and Murray. Some of the other late lotto guys like Saboni...

Re: Poll: Who should the Suns take at #4?

but if you can get a player like D'Angelo Russel for the pick, I think you have to do it. Speaking of overrated... No kidding. Turnover machine who can't shoot. Your description of Russell sounds more like Emmanuel Mudiay? Do you realize Russell hit more threes and at a higher percentage than Devin...
