Re: Around the League: Week 5 11/23-11/29
One of my buddies offered 60:1 odds that the Warriors stay undefeated by Christmas Day. I went in on that bet at roughly 1.5 dollars. You should have bet more. I think it's highly unlikely they stay undefeated that long. They don't play a lot of elite teams, but they do have a 7 game eastern road t...

Now let's make sure they don't make it to 17!

Heard that, pretty cool Booker got a mention. We might have quite a player on our hands. He did mention Justice Winslow later too.

Re: Around the League: Week 5 11/23-11/29
Outside of defense, the problem with the melo-amare pairing is they neutralize each other on the court. Both have incredible value as finishers of plays but little value as creators. Ideally you'd pair a finisher with a creator. Like Nash-Amare. Melo is a little better at creating for himself and th...

Davis is a tough matchup. Chandler could hold him in the post but can't guard him on the perimeter. Len can't match up with him at all. We don't have that long 6-10 inside-out guy who we can throw out there. To be fair, not many teams do. But we're especially small at the 3/4 spots in terms of leng...

Simmons is gonna be very interesting, nobody really like him in the nba right now except maybe LeBron. If Simmons learns to shoot, he could be an all time great

Re: Around the League: Week 4 11/16-11/22
I loved kristaps, it was really close between him and towns for me on best player in draft. Never understood the project label associated with him either. He was producing against better competition last year than anyone in the draft. He's still surpassed my expectations for how good he'd be this ea...

Re: Suns News: Week 4 11/16-11/22
Seriously though...The suns are really set up to be a contender if you add a premier 4. Booker,Warren, and Len all have potential. Knight and Bledsoe are locked into what are pretty good contracts in todays NBA for #2 and 3 options. All they need is a premier 4 to bring it all together. How good wo...

Re: Rookie/sophomore watch thread
I wanted us to draft Noel over Len....jury is still out over who will be better, but right now it looks like we missed on that one. i feel like len can be a solid anchor on defense, but he's not likely to be a superstar. or even an all star at that, which is a bit disappointing for a 5th overall pi...

We might have to start calling him AASWSuperbone wrote:Yep, I was thinking on my way in to work today that I've got to give Bleds some props. I've been as hard on him as anybody but he's really been a different player this year so far. His shot is looking good and he's making some nice passes.

Re: Rookie/sophomore watch thread
I think his future could be as a small ball 4. With Drummond covering him as the 5 especially. He's got similar size to Draymond Green and similarly skilled. And I think he's a better athlete.

Not sure why we're not seeing Booker or Goodwin. I think Weems in theory makes some sense, but as part of that theory he was supposed to be able to produce now. If he's not producing now, we're better off developing Booker and Goodwin.

Re: Around the League: Week 2 11/2-11/8
Was never that high on Russell and was surprised the Lakers took him. Thought Okafor was a natural fit and they could at least play through him and maybe extend Kobe's career that way. Still too early, but tall, pass first PGs that can't shoot never excite me and don't often pan out. Russell might ...

Re: Around the League: Week 2 11/2-11/8
Beal drains a DAGGER 3 at the buzzer to win the game for the Wiz. Nasty. Love Beal. Best pure SG in the NBA in my opinion. Love the Wiz backcourt. Do you think he's better than Jimmy Butler and James Harden, or not consider them pure SG's? Beal and Thompson are probably the next two. I'd lean towar...

How about T.J Mconnell, I didn't think he'd be in the NBA, but he started and almost dropped a triple-double tonight, granted its on the sixers, but I'm impressed

Indy: Actually, that sounds about right. Bledsoe is right around #10 when I look at that list.
