Re: Around the League: May 2014
Cavs just made David Griffin permanent GM and fired Mike Brown.

I think people aren't remembering how dead the original .net was before it went away. There were probably only 15-20 active posters. Summers were especially dead.

Re: Around the League: May 2014
I do think they got a little lazy with the Crawford pick, but I don't think it's a travesty. I thought Taj Gibson probably deserved it the most because of his two-way impact.

Re: Around the League: May 2014
Doesn't mean they're right - what a fucking crock. Swingy, could you summarize why you think Crawford shouldn't have been 6th man of the year? Already have - Crawford is a part-time starter, Markieff started 0 games and was producing at just about the same level with more efficiency in less minutes...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year
Shavlik was ctually needed because Miles was going thru his lifeless stretch and Len was not playing. The practice boy was Slava and they cut him to make room for the new guy (who actually was somewhat decent). He was definitely an upgrade over Slava. Coach used him late in the season and he was de...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
It's a tricky balance with RFAs. You may be hurting your leverage internally, but the idea behind saying those things is to dissuade other teams from extending offer sheets.

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year
Again, I ask: why it is only Gasol the one discussed here? Because it's sdc who has an infatuation with him. there were other names discussed: luol deng, rudy gay. eventually, mcdo settled for shavlik randolph. Cavs gave up a pick to get Deng. Worked out great for them. And are you honestly suggest...

Re: Suns News: Week of 4/14-4/20
As far as I can tell, sdc's only main gripe about McD is that he didn't trade for Pau. Which is one move or lack of move out of a whole year on the job. Doesn't sound too bad to me. Apparently, sdc likes Gasol so much that he wants McD fired since he didn't pick him up at the deadline. admit it, th...

Re: Second Round: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Washington Wizards
That's not answering the question. Of course they're all different players. The point is, with second pick in any NBA draft, you want to draft the second best player in the draft. If MKG turns into Tony Allen, that's nice and all, but that's not what you want or need with the second pick in the dra...

Re: Second Round: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Washington Wizards
Drummond, probably not. But he's a very different player than Beal. He has the potential to be a 1st team all NBA defender on the wing. A bigger, stronger Tony Allen.INFORMER wrote:I'm not saying give up on him, but do you honestly believe he is ever going to be as good as Beal or Drummond?

Re: Second Round: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Washington Wizards
Chris Webber is so horrendous as an in-game analyst. And how upset is Bobcat/Hornet fan that their team passed up Bradley Beal to draft Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Ouch. And I'll be honest, I would have made that same mistake. You weren't the only one. I was right there with you. I underestimated his d...

It seemed like every time they showed him in a huddle (and I know they can't show the Xs-and-Os stuff on TV) he was giving some sort of Knute Rockne-eque halftime speech from a Disney movie. I wonder if that got old. It would for me.

Re: Suns News: Week of 4/14-4/20
Danny Ferry though seems more concerned with not sucking than he is building a contender. He's chasing mediocrity. and what's worse is since they took Indiana to seven games, it will likely give Ferry & Co. a false appraisal of how good of a team he has, somewhat similar to the situation with t...

Roy Hibbert's 8.4% playoff rebounding percentage is the worst in NBA history for any All-Star 7-footer, per Basketball-Reference.

The Hibbert thing is just Bizarre. Just a few months ago they were pimping him as the best center in the NBA on TNT. Now he's looking like the worst rotation player in basketball.

I feel bad for Duds. I didn't watch any Clips games outside of games against the Suns. Anybody know what happened with him? Was he just not producing? Didn't fit in with their strategies? Anybody know? He got off to his usual slow start, only it never stopped. Eventually he fell out of the rotation...

I'd love Horford, but I don't think Atlanta is in any rush to give him away. They consider him their foundation piece.

Re: First Round: OKC Thunder (2) vs. Memphis Grizzlies (7)
What does the regular season matter? The guy is good but he gets zero criticism. He hasn't won multiple championships or even one. He isn't doing everything he can to get his team to the next level so yes he does deserve some criticism. This is why I hate OKC because I can't stand the crazy treatme...
