And it wasn't like his team was feeding him the ball to just chuck jumpers trying to reach the record. He scored 45 points on 25 shots. 25. 2. 5. Ridiculous.

Re: Around the League: Week of 3/2-3/9

Dwight Howard is a goofball and a diva, but he gutted it out in LA when his back wasn't 100% and didn't use it as an excuse; if anything, that's the anti-LeBron.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

Honestly Wiggins is the same guy he was at the beginning of the year. He looked great early on against Duke. There has been nothing wrong with him, he was just overhyped.

How do you know the return will be minimal? Time will tell. Obviously, McDonough doesn't agree with you. It looks as though you don't think Alex is the next Kevin McHale  I guess both of you missed the part of my post where I said "generally." I wasn't talking about any specific play...

Re: Is Alex Len a bust?

They always say (who's they?) big men take longer to develop. Look at Robin Lopez. He was so inconsistent for so long and now he seems to be a decent starting center for a very good Portland team. But generally speaking, if it's going to take a prospect 3-5 years to be just a solid NBA player, you ...

Re: Around the League: Week of 3/2-3/9

The newest sure-thing in the NBA is when LeBron James says he doesn't want to make excuses, he's about to make an excuse.

I don't think there is a single all-time great who is as lousy of a competitor as LeBron James.

I'm on record with wanting to move them, but if they are to be retained, I think that's about the neighborhood of fair compensation for them, as well as being a decent deal for the Suns. I'd probably want Kieff's deal to max out at $5.75 million.

Green hadn't done squat in the NBA until this season and Hornecek still had a long lesh with him and stayed with him taking terrible shots and portraying some low basketball IQ particularly early on. Green's been hitting shots all year long. Is he consistent? No. But he has shown from the very begi...

I really don't think his shot selection is any worse than Jamal Crawford, Brandon Jennings, JR Smith, Tony Wroten, Dion Waiters, or Russell Westbrook. And all of their coaches let them fire away.

Al Jefferson is playing some great basketball. He has a 22.45 PER for the season. But the most impressive thing? He averages 1.5 turnovers per game. For someone that productive, that's incredible.

Latest Simmons article on the Sixers tanking job: Here Good read. I don't get too hot-and-bothered about it, but yeah, what Hinkie is doing is pathetic. Simmons concludes that article in interesting fashion: And that’s why this tanking bullshit matters. When 36 percent of your league is willfully t...

Re: Is Alex Len a bust?

Whenever I think of Steve Kerr's tenure with us, the "I might be a moron" quote sticks out, regarding the Shaq trade. It's funny, I know our training staff gave Shaq the last hurrah of his career. And you can even probably say that, at 36, he was the best center we ever had. Even still, c...

Who'd ever guess Dragic would do a great Paul Westphal imitation? He's a joy to watch just like my favorite player as a kid, Westy. I never imagined the kid from Slovenia would ever reach these heights. I guess Kerr and the old scouting staff knew what they were doing. I'm sorry, but I thought that...

Re: Is Alex Len a bust?

I don't recall him having bad hands at Maryland, so I don't know if it's going to always be a concern. To me it usually looked like he was trying make moves before he actually caught the ball. I would say he had inconsistent hands at Maryland. Some nights, it would seem like he was catching everyth...
