Re: NBA Finals discussion

Listening to the Warriors home radio broadcast, and the announcers shared that Kerr has just smashed a whiteboard yelling at the team after a 7-0 Cavs run. Presumably for not moving the ball enough on O. Whatever happened, the Ws came out of the timeout and played amazing.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)

Never seen the Spurs, Thunder, Warriors, Cavs posting photos after a spin session. Just saying. You can talk about culture and togetherness and team building/bonding all you want. The results will appear on the court. This is fluff. Of course it's fluff reporting. The Suns aren't a very good team, ...

No, it's pretty special. No other team runs so much offense behind the line, and no other team demands such attention from defenders behind the line.

It would be a mistake to try to imitate them with lesser players. That's how you end up with Brandon Knight.

Re: NBA Draft Prospects Discussion

Alex was a much better shot blocker and a much more efficient scorer last season. I hope that with a more stable lineup he will get back to those levels. For half the season, teams would load up on him and Book, and just leave the rest of the team alone. And I think he was less aggressive going for ...

Warriors win it with only 20 2 point fg's made and only 5 ft's made. 45 points inside the line and 51 outside. Holy cow.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)

#4 for Jahlil? Maybe. He's the kind of scorer I would love for the Suns to have, but does he defend/rebound at all? And, honesty, those guys need guards so bad we could probably unload some unwanted players for him.

Re: NBA Western/Eastern Conference Finals Thread

As much as I want OKC to win the series, simply to create a new team from the West, I hate Westbrook. He's an amazing talent but a little slimeball when they interview him. He was asked about Curry's defense after GSW won game 5 and he literally started laughing into the mic for several seconds and...

In his first year with the Warriors he seemed better than he is today. . http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160529/da91f169198ec5c357a2ee9f103526b7.jpg Just a quick comparison between Barnes' 2nd year and TJ's 2nd year. A good talking point if someone is saying you should max Barnes while we still h...

Re: NBA Western/Eastern Conference Finals Thread

Warriors with their fewest 3pt attempts and the most minutes for Bogut of this series. Last year they had a lot of success against a wiped out cavs team by going small. I think it has taken them too long to adjust to the physicality of OKC and remember that they have a pretty good big guy.

Re: Around the League: Playoffs

Anthony Davis isn't on all NBA teams, thus losing $$$. Only one possible solution: All players on teams that do not have Anthony Davis are put into a lottery. 24 players are chosen out of the lottery. Each chosen player is dropped off in a remote and enclosed location, where they find weapons and f...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)

Position is more about defense that offense. On offense, great teams have a variety of guys that can make plays in a variety of ways. Your position on defense has more to do with the size and quickness of opponents. When George says he doesn't want to be a 4, it means he doesn't want to guard dudes ...

Re: NBA Western/Eastern Conference Finals Thread

If you're a Raptors fan, are you encouraged by this season and by this playoffs? Do you want to keep this team together and give it another go next year? YES This is the deepest they have been in the playoffs. I'd see what I could add and enjoy the ride for a couple more years before they go back t...

George was pretty unhappy about playing out of position in Indiana. I don't think he will play the 4 at his new destination.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)

Rumor has it that the Suns could trade the 2 lottery picks and Brandon Knight for Paul George. Or instead of Knight, the Suns would have to include Booker. I would do Knight, Tucker, 4 & 28. I'm not really a fan of Paul George, although I admit that he had a monster playoffs this year. But he's...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)

I don't see it hard for McD to extract value out of Knight. You surely have seen the figures thrown around. Yet to enter his prime. Consolidated. Could be the next Jason Terry, with a touch of Jamal. A nice horse if you know what to do with him. I am more afraid of McD not actually wanting to trade...

Re: NBA Western/Eastern Conference Finals Thread

I do want a guy who can score at the basket, but we can do better than Biyombo. He's a career reserve who is playing above his head in this playoffs. I respect him for that, but we need a star. As for the Green/Manu comparison, both are second round picks who made themselves "stars" by she...

Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:What are y'all's takes about why OKC is stomping the Warriors so badly?
Aggressiveness, which leads to GS fouls. The Thunder are putting GS in situations they aren't prepared to defend. Both Thompson and Bogut (Who has been very good in his minutes) played limited minutes due to fouls last night.
