It's interesting in that Hornacek interview that one of the reason they liked Thomas and brought him in was because of his vocal leadership that they'll be missing now with the Frye guy gone.

Yeah but is IT2 really a vocal leader? He is very young and just got here.

Not so much as a fan, but he clearly had learn a lot from his mistakes as a rookie owner. I guess running a bank is very different from the NBA circa media. The sad part is that he go trough his growing pains during rhe SSOL era.

Suns' Isaiah Thomas scores 47 points in Seattle Pro-Am game

He also had 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Yeah, yeah. I don't want to hear about Bo Outlaw back in the day.

And 4, Ennis. :) (At least it was his summer league jersey number.)

This Grantland article by Zack Lowe talks about Sacramento's extended rebuild. A major midsection of the article analyzes Isaiah Thomas versus the guy Sacramento replaced him with, Darren Collison. It's not 100% pro-IT3, but it does make me think we grabbed a talented guy at below market value.

How dumb am I? I just assumed our Isaiah was the son of the original one.

From Wiki:

"Thomas was named after former Detroit Pistons Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas when his father, James, bet his friend that his favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers, would defeat the Pistons in the 1989 NBA Finals (which the Pistons won in a four-game sweep). Even though the younger Thomas ended up being born months before the Finals took place, James had already warmed to the name. However, the boy's mother, Tina Baldtrip, insisted on spelling it 'Isaiah', as she desired a biblical name."

I'm even dumber. I assumed he was the son of the Biblical prophet.

Isaiah Thomas loves Sacramento, but plans to kill the Kings
Do you have a favorite memory on the floor as a King?

I don't think it's just a specific game, just the whole experience. It was different from I think anybody else's because three different coaches in three years, front office changing, the arena situation, us maybe moving to Seattle, all of that plays a part in the whole experience and I wouldn't change it for anything. I tell everybody I love Sacramento, I always will love Sacramento, but when we play them I'm going to kill Sacramento.

So what is your prediction on your stat line in that first game against the Kings?

I don't got no prediction, I'm just going to play very hard man. I'm going to leave it all out on the floor like I always do, but that definitely will be a game that I mark on my calendar.

I just hope they don't collar him with premeditated murder.
