...saw the article where they Evans was recommended...I was hoping he and Melton would also get a chance to see if there was anything there...fwiw...I'd think the fat lady is still warming up on that topic...

Not a big fan of Booker trying to pad his stats at the end of the game.
Ball started to stick when he came back in and yea the last 2mins it was kinda obvious

5/9 and 2/3 from 3. 14 points, 7 boards, 3 assists and a block.

It seems like quite the transformation, doesn't it? Maybe it's the teams we're playing but the Suns look much better as of late. Liking the defense.

Lets just ignore history while we're at it

Even the away crowd wanted him to keep shooting. I think Booker considers himself the closer and I think the Suns do too. I can’t get upset that he wants to shoot at the end of an away game where they would make it three in a row. Maybe the coach should have pulled him earlier to not risk his hamstring. The lead got down a little bit at the end. I don’t think the Suns wanted to take any chances of losing in the final seconds like has happened recently and wanted Booker in because he’s their best player.
Lots of guys contributed in this game. Holmes has been the biggest surprise pick up this year imo. He brings athleticism and intensity, especially on defense where we need the most help. I think he has rubbed off on Ayton a little bit and forced Ayton to look over his shoulder, which is a good thing imo.
Bridges has become a reliable starter and has really disrupted with his long arms.
In Melton it seems like we might have a decent pg. Crawford has steadily gotten more productive and Eddie Johnson can’t stop gushing about what a great team guy he is.
Even Josh is starting to settle down a little bit. Still a little out of control. His drives to the basket remind me a lot of Barbosa’s in his early years with the Suns. Maybe he can add Barbosa’s back door cut to the basket move.
I think Ayton has been a little intimidated by playing against all these different centers out there to start the season. Almost like he was being cautious and careful. I think he has now seen a lot of different centers and has played some teams more than once and is starting to figure it out more and more. He blew a couple of defensive assignments but, kind of had his way with Kanter offensively. Kanter kind of had his way with Holmes surprisingly.
Eddie Johnson called it at half time. He said the Suns are going to need somebody besides Booker and Ayton to step it up if they want to win. He knew NY would talk about ways to shut down Booker and Ayton at half time. He thought that guy should be Warren and sure enough Warren lit them up.

Pretty sure he didn't go 0-4 and then hit 5 in a row.

I think Booker wanted 40pts last night.
They stretch in the 3rd where we broke the game open came from lock down defense. The Knicks aren't any good but our defense was legit during that stretch. Interestingly, it was when Booker and Ayton were on the bench and we had Crawford, Bridges, Holmes, TJ out there.

Love seeing Jamal playing well and last few games folks actually want him on the court which is good. It is sometimes hard reading the forum when you just hoping the ole boy can prove ppl wrong and the yung fella could be more consistent smh for at least a couple games
Although I like Jamal and feel he is more than capable of finding guys in the pick n roll, one thing that isn't gonna change at 38 though is his defense lol. He is trying but he been getting picked on most nights and last night I felt Igor could have brought back Melton in the 2nd quarter when Knicks especially Mudiay started getting buckets.
Devin is trying also and he seems to be not using his hands as much as last year when he got alot of those foul calls but him and Jamal are obviously our weakest links on the perimeter. Daniels isn't playing much but every game he's been in his effort on D really jumps out at me so it is clear Igor has them buying in and that has been my favourite thing in these games. Young teams being pesky and getting out on the break is always good to watch

It seems like Igor has a very short leash on his young PGs. Wish he'd let them play more.

There was one play in the game where he left his man in the corner to help on a driving player. He managed to deter the shot and then jump back and steal the pass intended for the now open man in the corner. Was a really impressive defensive play. Especially for a rookie.

I'm worried about playing our 2 best players heavy minutes at the start of a long road trip, right after returning from injuries. We were up big in the 4th and could have afforded to sit these guys longer.

Jamal's the kind of vet we needed who can impact the game and make guys better. His passing last night was unreal and it's getting us easy baskets or fouls.

Crawford high-fiving a hand floating in the air.

Is the Holmes trade the most lopsided trade in Suns history?
The 76ers traded him to us for $1 million in cash. Lol.

As a positive trade, perhaps. But they did ship out Dennis Johnson and first and third round picks for Rick Robey and two second round picks. That's basically trading a Hall of Fame guard for three years of backup center.
On the plus side I might go with Gary Gregor (the real original Sun) to the Hawks for Paul Silas.
