I have no problem with the Finals starting on Thursday. The off-season is long enough already.

It is when you don't care about baseball.

I think my bold prediction is that the Raptors win in 7, and Kawhi still leaves.

Can you make it to football in August?

I like how the NBA has shortened the off-season. Finals into June and then the draft. Summer league in July. Then free agency. Pretty much just August and September with nothing going on.

You should check out the World Cup from August 31 up to September 15 2019.

Might actually be easier for him to leave if the raps win...imagine losing in game 7 of the finals and then your best player leaves

Heh. Yes, that would be a nice little gap filler. Thanks.

Am I crazy to think the Raptors might actually win this series?

It sure looked possible tonight.

Raptors looked great tonight, other than Lowry. If they can play at this level, obviously they can win the series. I am skeptical that they can maintain that level of play and energy, but the home crowd really got them pumped up for this game. Siakam was awesome. And their D overall was great, running the Warriors off the 3-point line over and over.

Nice win but now they need to win game 2.

The Warriors need Durant to win this series, but I still think it's going to seven games regardless.

Should Durant be catching more flack for not playing? You never like to question someone's injury but I mean...it's the Finals. He's been out with a calf strain for 3 weeks now. Is he so debilitated that he absolutely can't play? If this were his first Finals appearance, would he be playing? If he were 0-2 in Finals appearances, would he be playing? If he weren't a FA this summer, would he be playing?

You don't sacrifice a potential long-term injury right before your contract is up. Besides, wouldn't it be a better story for him if he comes back in Game 7?

I'd rather see the Raptors win, but if the Warriors do it I hope they do it without Durant.
