I don't think it would have been such a big problem if Ayton hadn't missed 25 games. And some injuries (Ayton's sprained ankle, Booker's bruised wrist) aren't something you can prevent. Rubio's and Baynes' injuries? Maybe.Indy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 4:09 pmThis, especially if it also includes healthy. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 2:33 pm"Starting jobs should be given to guys who deserve them through excellent play and hard work."
Well, I'm having a hard time coming up with five guys then.
Speaking of that, interesting that the first season we outsource our training to a for-profit company whose job it is to spend the least and charge the most, we have half our roster questionable for a good part of the season...

I have been thinking the same thing. Maybe Ayton doesn’t end up putting banned substances, “on accident”, in his body under the old training group either. I would love to know what metrics they are measured at. If it’s keeping people on the floor they are not starting off very great. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 4:57 pmI don't think it would have been such a big problem if Ayton hadn't missed 25 games. The upside is that the team is 28 games in, with about two-thirds of the season left.
Plenty of time to regroup.

Historically?! This is his second season in the league.
Bridges has been a disappointment. I always felt his ceiling is a great role player, but right now, he isn't even a good role player. I expected great defense and great 3-point shooting, but so far he has been a mediocre at both. I really hope he turns it around.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.

Because shooting 58% and getting 16 points and 10 rebounds a night are worthless.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 7:40 pmYes I'm sure we'll miss aytons empty stats
They replace a lot of those minutes with.... Frank Kaminsky.

The Suns shot 59% with only 4 turnovers in the first half which is terrific, until you see Houston shot 63% with only 4 turnovers.
Great game unless you like to see some defense.

Jerome!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

If you’ve forgotten, he single-handedly won us a handful of games last year, usually on the defensive end, including an overtime that he completely took over.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 9:07 pm..The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 8:08 pmBecause shooting 58% and getting 16 points and 10 rebounds a night are worthless.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 7:40 pmYes I'm sure we'll miss aytons empty stats

They don’t care. All they want to do is whine and bitch about Ayton. Maybe they should leave and become Mavs fans. It’s getting really freaking old. Enough bagging on Ayton until he had a chance to play and prove them wrong.JeremyG wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 9:25 pmIf you’ve forgotten, he single-handedly won us a handful of games last year, usually on the defensive end, including an overtime that he completely took over.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 9:07 pm..The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 8:08 pmBecause shooting 58% and getting 16 points and 10 rebounds a night are worthless.

Lol If someone can’t see the five guys picture my comment will look super random (there’s some pretty funky formatting from this site to my iphone ... blank messages and photos, messages fully struck through etc)
