4 team trade

Suns- KD, Hield

Nets- Mitchell, Turner, Crowder, Saric, Craig, Payne,

Pacers- Ayton, Shamet

Jazz- Ben Simmons, 4- 1st round picks from Suns+ 2 swaps, 1st round pick from Pacer via Boston.

Why?

Jazz: get a treasure trove of picks for Mitchell who doesn’t want to be there, and if Simmons has a bounce back year then they can trade next summer for more picks.

Pacers: Get Ayton

Nets- get Mitchell and 40 million off the books and after the Westbrook for Kyrie they’ll have nearly 90 mil off the books for next year.

Suns- cuz KD
Think Brooklyn should still get a couple picks. Give Utah 3 and Brooklyn 2.

That deal makes a lot of sense. It might be the biggest trade in NBA history, which makes it hard to fathom going down as a single transaction.

I think the Pacers might need more incentive to do it as well. They are giving up Turner, Hield and a 1st for Ayton.

I’d rather Turner than Buddy, especially if we’re getting Durant.

It does seem like we could solve a lot of our problems by getting Mitchell from Utah and sending him to Brooklyn for KD. The Simmons stuff makes it tricky, but I do agree that something could be worked out, but ya we’d probably need Indy or SA as a 4th team.

Do you think they see Simmons as an asset or a burden?

I think they see him as an asset. I think they’d expect more if they are losing KD and Simmons.

This is a really good trade, maybe shift a pick or two back to the Pacers and I have a hard time with anyone saying no.

Is it possible KD could change his mind about coming to Phoenix, depending on the results of the NBA’s investigation?

Of course. Everybody knows Sarver is the reason KD wants to be here.

Let me guess flex gives some vague update which is open to interpretation where he can’t be right or wrong. The few times he tried to specific about the timeline of the deal he was wrong and he’s just milking it for attention now. Lost faith in him after last year
“Suns are about to do a deal or not do a deal, playin chess not checkers”.
Light booing.

He does do that a lot, but to his credit, he was talking about KD wanting to come here long before it was public knowledge. He might exaggerate what he knows at times, but he definitely hears stuff.

And last summer he kept saying there was nothing to worry about with Ayton, that a deal would definitely get done. Then it turns out, there were never even any real negotiations.

It is tricky to know when he’s sharing his opinion and when he’s reporting something. His source is not connected to Ayton or the suns front office. He was never going to have great info.

His source has always had info through CP3 and Book. It seems through their agency, but it could be Book’s brother as I’ve also heard people claim.

Well that's not true, Ayton just wanted more than what was offered.

There was never an offer, according to Ayton’s agent. And I was using James Jones’ words: “We didn't have real negotiations” (https://theathletic.com/2899094/2021/10 ... otiations/)
