Here's hoping Wemby is more Ayton than Robinson.
Lol. I’m sorry but Wemby is already light years ahead in his bag. Thats his starting point. Bare minimum is he will hang 25 per night. His floor is 7’5” TMac.

Maybe Popovich stays on as head coach now that he'd get to coach Wemby?

The Spurs have certainly used their good draft luck in the right drafts. That’s quite a trio…

And they don’t even have any glut on their roster so it’s not like getting Wemby means they need to trade a starter.

They already traded their starting C at the deadline. Coincidence? :)

Sochan is a pretty perfect PF complement to Wemby. PG-Vassell-Keldon-Sochan-Wemby is a nice core. Branham-Collins-Tre Jones are nice pieces too.

Wild thought - they could use a PG to help with them play the right way. They're way under the cap. Something we could work out there?

So what does SAS have?

Jones/Vassell/Johnson/Sochan/Wemby

I wouldn’t want to play Wemby at the 5 at this point. Maybe we can trade them Ayton for one of their wings?

They also need a pg…can we give them CP3? Haha

He won’t stay healthy.
This is going to be the biggest bust of all time, you guys will all see.

He’s going to be the “what could have been” that everyone should have seen coming. You just can’t stay healthy at 7’5. Those foot injuries are coming people. The biggest winners in this lottery are the Charlotte Horrnets for not having to take him.

I think it’s a valid concern, but there’s no way you can’t take him. He’s got legitimate best player of all time upside.

Lawd the hype is real if people are saying this. I think he gets injured in Summer League like Chet Holmgren. Opposing players will hate that kid & go at him hard.

1000%…. His size/frame gave me holmgren vibes too. Curious how hard they go at him in the euro leagues. Not sure I’m willing to call him the greatest bust but could see him having a grant hill type career where he’ll have to adapt to his body’s deficiencies.

Do you disagree? He’s 7’3 or 7’4 and plays like a guard. He’s got an over 8’0 wingspan. He’s going to be an absolute nightmare to defend and he’s going to cause chaos on defense with his length.

I get that health is a concern. It feels weird with everyone predicting he won’t even make it to game 1 before getting hurt. Certainly a possibility, but not everyone with his build gets hurt.
