Metu had a stinker the next game, unfortunately. Hopefully Ayton dominates Spain today.
Is Gasol (Marc) still manning the middle for Spain? If so, it should be interesting to see how Ayton fares against him.
Just looked it up. Bahama is playing Argentina today, not Spain.
Argentina is more Italy than it is Spain. My bad!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Not to mention that Spain has their own team which you can see the US play recently in the USA thread.

Not to mention that this is the Americas tournament and Spain is not in the Americas. :P

I have really high hopes for Gordon this year. He's either going to keep defenses honest by being a great shooter that defenders can't sag off of to defend Booker/KD/Beal more, or he's going to have some great games facing lesser defenders.

I love that we can go to a Beal/Booker/Gordon/KD/Ayton lineup that is going to be unguardable. Who do you not guard in that lineup? Or do you just let Booker/KD face single coverage.

Best you can do is let Ayton shoot 18 foot open jumpers.

That jumper is looking pretty nice, though.

Season can't start soon enough... Just hoping they all stay healthy and on the court together. Don't want to go into another offseason trying to figure it out.

And you can’t be forced into that…if you tell Ayton to roll hard and go to the rim, they’ll have to defend him and Booker(or whoever the ball handler is) can get to a pull up in the short midrange with a defender behind them(or of course an easy lob to Ayton if the dropping big comes up to defend the ball handler). If they send help then a very good shooter is open.

The one tricky spot would be if they blitz the ball handler. Putting the ball into Ayton’s hands in the short roll would be the move probably. Make Ayton make a play. This is where you need him to be able to attack off the dribble and at least make the easy pass to the corner if the defense collapses. If he can do that, we’d be devestating.

You can also just put Ayton in the dunker spot and run pnr with some combo of Booker/Durant/Beal.

Hey peeps
I've been eagerly anticipating the schedule release because "there's a chance" I might finally be able to come to Phoenix for my Bday month - February

My current plan is to catch a B2B or two in three nights
So that's Bucks then Jazz (Tues n Thurs)
Or Kings n Pistons (Tues n Wed)

But the Lakers game..... (Sun matinee)

Well lots I have to get sorted before this can be a reality but just kind of letting the imagination run away already
Manifesting it as they say

The question for that February 14 game vs. the Pistons is: will the fans show love to Monty on Valentine's Day? :P

I think he's going to get a hero's welcome. He took us to the promised land but couldn't quite deliver. Only two other coaches in Suns' history have done that.

That's a pretty good schedule. It's nice that the long East coast trip doesn't have any back-to-backs, but going Miami-Brooklyn-Atlanta-Washington is kinda rough.

Facing both LAC and MIN twice in the last two weeks could be interesting.
