I’m still bringing back Grayson and Royce. Idgaf
Nurk I think rebounded his trade value. Not saying we should trade him but definitely see what the market is for him.
EG can go but how this season has turned out, me thinks he leaves anyways.
I’d keep Bol too but someone will probably give him a decent contract. Probably SA. Yuck.

Sounds like a 'You' problem.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:23 pmIt was easy to watch the Suns shitty roster years and run through losses, because the roster called for that.
It was lovely to watch the Suns runs of the early 2000s when they had so much talent and just barely couldn't make it over the top. Same with 2020-2023.
This is the least enjoyable team I've watched. They have so much talent and yet I hate them even when they win.
Send me a PM if you're interested in joining the phx-suns.net fantasy basketball league.

The mercury should be better this year.

Wouldn't even be surprising the way the team's been this season. We'll need Nurk tho.Wally_West wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:32 pmBe the funniest shit if this team beat Denver Wednesday lol

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to be a team that loses to scrubs but beats playoff contenders. But we aren't that. We lose to contenders plenty, too.

I think we have a coaching issue...and we went big and burned bridges. I think they NEED a top flight PG...and it's a stretch to o say they can find one. I also think they me need to invest in developing Bol this off-season... we're going to need an additional big to rely on...Superbone wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:26 pmThis.Wally_West wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:17 pmI’m never going to say I’m gonna stop being a fan or even threaten to stop watching. Speaking for myself, I know that’s never going to be true. I’m always gonna cheer this team and I will watch whenever I can.
But it’s perfectly fine being depressed and a sad boy. This shit sucks. Just can’t quit this team, wish I could but been watching as long as I can remember.
We got a bad combo this time around, it appears. I'm not even sure where the blame goes. Can't be just coaching and it can't be just the players. I think it's both and bad chemistry. Something is missing. I think we all have noticed that vocal leadership and accountability seems to be lacking.
Re: Suns News: Week 23 (3/25 - 3/31)
Mori posted it a few days ago, but we’ve got a fundamental roster flaw in that our starting lineup doesn’t include a single high-level defender, especially at the point of attack. Consistency on defense and generating more turnovers would make our offensive struggles much more palatable. The idea of scheme making up for our deficiencies hasn’t worked, partially because players just don’t seem fully bought in and engaged there.
I guess Denver is an example of a team that can thrive without one (although Gordon and KCP are better than anything we have), but they have the best player in the league and we don’t. Look at Boston. On paper our offensive talents should compare, but Jrue, White and Brown smoke us in the perimeter D department.
I’m not sure what the answer is, but I’d love to keep Grayson next season, move him to a bench role and try a Thybulle/Herb Jones type player in his place. Maybe Ryan Dunn?

With the way Bol is progressing, we may be starting a KD-Bol-Nurk front court next season.
Re: Suns News: Week 23 (3/25 - 3/31)
I don't think we can have a total zero on the floor just to have a defender out there. Doesn't work with Okogie and he's as good a defender as any of those guys. I don't know if starting O'Neal would help - I think he might be a better fit for the starters but isn't some standout defender either and doesn't help add more size. Then the other issue would be paying Grayson 18+/year to come off the bench but I think he might thrive more as a super sub 6th man ala Manu.
Re: Suns News: Week 23 (3/25 - 3/31)
But Grayson has never shown that sort of offensive aggression, Manu could carry a unit, Allen relies on better players drawing defenders to get him his looks. I think he's a prime trade meat.
Re: Suns News: Week 23 (3/25 - 3/31)
I don’t think Thybulle (now 35% from 3) and Jones are zeros. That’s not what I’m advocating for. I’d be willing to sacrifice Grayson’s dribble-drive game for a little more size and defense. But this player still needs to be able to shoot from the corners (which Okogie can’t).ShelC wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 4:26 pmI don't think we can have a total zero on the floor just to have a defender out there.
