Game Day: Suns (43-30) @ Thunder (50-22), Fri 3/29/24

Post by Superbone »

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET)
Place: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, OK
TV: AZ Family 3TV/NBALP

Two of the top shooting teams in the league face off Friday night in Oklahoma City. The Suns just won their first game without Nurkic (questionable) this season Wednesday night in Denver. The Thunder may be without SGA who is doubtful and they are 0-2 without him.

We generally play worse when the other team is missing key people.

Could probably risk sitting Nurk for this one and giving him the extra rest. Thunder aren't a big team so we might be able to manage with Eubanks, Bol and Thad up front. Just need to come out with the same pop, intensity and focus that we did against the Nuggets.

Agreed. Can we see that same focus two games in a row? Tune in to find out...

I'd be okay with that. I'd rather err on the side of letting guys rest if they're not 100%, especially when it's something wrong with their legs. We want Nurk healthy for the playoffs.

OKC will be extremely tough to beat, but if SGA is out, that makes the game winnable.

Easier said than done. You never know which Suns team is going to show up.

If Nurk is ready to play, he should play. It's too late in the season to be experimenting. The team needs wins badly.

My biggest concern for Nurk is Ramadan, which doesn't end for another 10 days. His play has generally fallen during Ramadan.

Islam ought to adopt a rule that NBA players can do their fasting during the off-season.

Cluff Homer Article

Cluff advocating in an AzCentral article that KD should end his career for closure in Oklahoma...how about ending it HERE w/a Banner? THAT would be a storybook ending! He's writing for a Phx paper with that weak sauce crap...

2nd Qtr shit this time instead of the 4th. No SGA and we still give up 70 in the half. Tell me more about those defensive stats.

So, apparently, the Suns are changing their name to reflect their split personalities. As SIDS takes some time to cure, we're going to suffer through the fun of these mentally ill flavor of Phoenix NBA Basketball...thus, welcome to Phoenix Jekyll and Hyde Basketball. I see today the Dr. Jekyll's decided to show up. I wonder when the Hyde's will decide to play instead? It isn't tonight of course...it does make for a chaotic mess of a professional team. Perhaps we need to be handing out lithium pills to the team?
