The 6th seed and a matchup with the Timberwolves is about the best they could hope for - now, time to put up or shut up.

I'm sure we'll hear plenty about it for the next week, but this is a huge series for Anthony Edwards.
In a bizarre way, it seems the Wolves are under more pressure than the Suns to win the series.

Congratulations to Beal for being on the best team he's ever been on. If there is one guy I expect to ball out in the post-season it's him.

How is that bizarre? The Wolves are favored. They went into the last day of the season tied for #1. They’re supposed to win. Of course they’re under more pressure.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 6:49 pmI'm sure we'll hear plenty about it for the next week, but this is a huge series for Anthony Edwards.

Bizarre based on pre-season expectations I suppose. We've slid our expectations from champion ship or bust to "let's just make the playoffs, see what happens."

So we're going to ignore the Suns having the first and second best player in the series?
I guess Edwards vs. Booker is 50/50 now.
The Suns are clear favorites to win the series by the bookmakers so far.

No one is worried about a “be careful of what you wish for” scenario? I remember a team once that we dominated and owned, that gave us the most embarrassing loss in franchise history in the playoffs and is still a thorn in our ass.
I still think we win and but not a fan of so many people assuming this going to be a cake walk. Ant isn’t Luka but he’s been pretty great this season. I fully expect an extra motivated team on Saturday.

Not a cakewalk…just the best scenario…would you rather have Denver or OKC? Or the play in?
Re: 2024 Playoffs: Suns-Timberwolves Round 1 News Thread
Fun fact, Suns spent 85% of the season series with a double digit lead vs Minny.
36 minutes of game 1
45 minutes of game 2
42 minutes of game 3
Minnesota led for 2 minutes, we led for 142 minutes. Edit: I guess it’s probably not 142 as there were times with it tied..but probably about 140.
Minnesota led for 1:44 in game 1 and 16 seconds in game 3. They never led in game 2.
The latest lead they had was 12-10 in game 1 with 8:21 to go in the 1st Q. The largest lead they had was 6-3 of game 1. The latest tie they had was 14-14 with 6:21 to go in the 1st Q of game 1.
Their only lead in game 3 was 3-2 after a Conley 3, but it was short lived as Booker hit a 3 16 seconds later and the suns never looked back.

You just predicted 5 games lol.
Of course I’m happy with Minny over Denver and OKC, just not a fan of so many people acting like we won the series already is all. Today worked out perfect so I get the hype.
I think we win in 6.

True haha…but that was minutes after the game ended…it’s not a real prediction, I was just hyped haha. My real prediction will come later with the predictions thread.

I might after finding those stats about the suns never letting Minny within single digits after the 10 minute mark of the 2nd Q haha
