The next deadline is the earliest I could imagine Ishbia taking that approach, and things would probably have to get even worse on the court to make it happen.

I don’t know…. Ishbia doesn’t seem like the type to sit back and do nothing. I’d be shocked if some big changes aren’t made this summer.

I’m not saying he’ll do nothing, just that I don’t expect him to blow it up and rebuild

I agree. He rides this team at least one more year. There aren't really any other options where the team is competitive. Look at the wolves for inspiration. They looked bad last season only to stick with it and be near the top of the league most of this season. .

Vogel has to go...boom...completely, utterly, totally useless as a coach. The waterboy couldn't have done a worse job...

Ok, who says no

Draft night we trade our 2024 1st for a future 1st from someone.

Then this summer we offer Beal, the future 1st, and our 2031 1st to Orlando for Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, and Wendell Carter Jr?

Probably not enough from us. Orlando could use a guard like Beal, but he’s too old for their timeline and this eviscerates their defense.
I get that Beal isn't in his mid-20s, but giving up 2 first rounders in that deal when he is the best player in that deal is the kind of stuff that got us in this mess.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!

PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

Beal is the one guy I would hold on to.

Yep, I've already said it a few times, but he's the only one who seems like he cares. At the end of last night's game, he was putting up 3s and playing hard, Booker was just loafing around with his stupid headband and KD was doing that useless stat thing he does.

Beal has been nice this year. But I would absolutely ship him out if anybody would take him. His contract is way too expensive for his production, he's redundant with Booker, and he gets injured way too easily. He's been a real asset the latter part of the season, but for most of the first half of the season he was either injured or not playing well. And even at his best he's not as good as Booker or KD. I don't want to pay $50m for what he provides.

What would you say to KD to Philly for whoever they draft at 16, plus a 2026 1st and 2030 1st?

Puts us 25 million under the Luxury Tax and gives us the MLE and BAE.

His contract also has a no-trade clause so good luck with shipping him "if anybody would take him."

The headband! That fucking thing has also been the demise of his game since he started wearing that shit.

Oh that’s a guarantee at this point…the next question will be what we do with the roster. Vogel will likely be fired by tomorrow imo

He's not the fall guy. He's the guy who failed tremendously at his job.
