I couldn't make much sense out of Hornacek's rotations, especially in the 1st half. Why the fuck is Gerald Green riding the bench??

He does some good things offensively, but dribbling into traffic ain't one of them.
Bledsoe's actually pretty good at getting his man and the weakside help defender in the air so he can dump it off down low to Len/Wright. Bledsoe's problem is that he hasn't learned to stay grounded. Almost all of his turnovers are the result of him leaving his feet, forcing him to make a split-second decision in midair. He's a good ball-handler, but he won't be a great point guard until he masters a few missing fundamentals.

It's pretty shocking to me how easily you guys pin these losses on Bledsoe, when our primary issue is D-E-F-E-N-S-E, something Bledsoe does markedly better than his teammates.

This is a SHITTY defensive team, one of the worst Suns defenses I've seen in a long time.

Earl Barron surprised me tonight, he looked comfortable out there. Hopefully he continues to contribute. I know PJ had 12 rebounds and 13 pts, but he commits turnovers at the worst times. He was very frustrating for me to watch, especially in the 1st half.

According to Dave King at brightside, "Hornacek said he looked for Green early in the second Q but couldn’t find him. Green had gone to the bathroom apparently." When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Maybe coach just wanted to see what he had in Thornton. Or throw him some token minutes. Either way, I hope that's the last we see of him. No reason for him to get minutes over Archie, TJ, Green or even Bullock.

These games are frustrating to watch. It seems like we follow the same blueprint every game.

We suddenly have a very poor 3 point shooting team. 1 reliable 3 point shooter in the starting linuep is very dangerous.

Oh and we don't play any defense whatsoever.
He burned his old team. Wait, that was IT.

IT had the same kick out the leg play about 5 times this year and was always called for an offensive foul for it, hey but now he has no suns uniform on any more so now it's a defensive foul. IT must be very happy about that, at least now he s gonna get some calls his way.

I haven't watched the game yet, but my guess is I'm not going to enjoy the first half. Still, not naming names, people are way too down on this team and this organization at the moment.

I think part of the reason we're committed to the 2-PG system is because Bled isn't really a PG. So we run two "half" points to get one point. And hey, haven't I heard a billion times that you can't win a championship building a team around great point guards?

Regarding Green: I hope it isn't true, but I think it's possible, that we decided not to trade him as a big FU to Duffy. I'm sure we could have gotten at least a second rounder for him. It may also be that we wanted more, and we weren't simply going to take best asset available when we weren't happy with the return (other GM's better recognize!). In any case, we might do well just to cut him. Or cut Thornton. Or both.

I am encouraged that the Suns are remaining consistent and going the extra mile to lose to shitty teams when playing home games ...

Agreed OE. The progression of posts in this thread is pretty funny to read. People are way too emotional and willing to jump the gun 2 games after the trade.

The Suns front office is doing a wonderful job of ensuring that no free agent of consequence, with options will ever ever ever sign here . Pray for the draft and trading for players who are locked in for a couple of years. No big FA will sign with this FO

BIG FA's won't sign here but it has little to do with the front office.....

Ridiculous. I love when people call out McDonaugh and then in the next breath praise a guy he drafted (Len or Goodwin) or traded for (Knight)
