I just don't know how you're a 20ppg scorer and then you turn into this. Is it Aaron Brooks all over again?

I thought this game would have suited him (starting, fast-paced) but he's been horrible. It really is puzzling

To be fair it has to be hard to keep your confidence after you've been benched so hard.

Ulis, Price, Dudley, Jones, Chriss. This is the D- squad.

9 Suns have played at least 20 minutes. Dudley and Ulis have positive +/- which is a fair effort given the scoreline.

Lose by 31. Harden has 40 points. Booker with 18 points but on 6-18 shooting. PJ Tucker only 21 minutes, that's good. I most enjoyed seeing Ulis. He is fun to watch. Ulis had 6 assists in 28 minutes, which doesn't blow you away (and Bledsoe to be fair has nights with that many frequently), but if you apply the eye test, Ulis actually has his head up and looks for everybody else. I would honestly live with playing him 40 minutes a game and dumping Bledsoe and Knight tomorrow.

Should we be worried that not a single one of our young players is a plus defender?? Bender should end up being very good on D, but... that's just not enough.

Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I am surprised at how serviceable Dekker has been. I assumed he'd take a few years to find his role in the NBA, but he looks good out there. Looks like he's averaging about 7.3 PPG this season.
Wait a minute, remember MDA never plays youngsters. Oh, that's right Houston has youngsters that can play unlike his time with the Suns. Capella, Harrell and Dekker have all played and done well. Mike also never plays bigs, yet Nene has been productive and he plays him.

No sense rehashing it but I really wish our moron of an owner would have picked Mike as coach and Mike would have convinced Nash to join him on the bench. I expect this season would have been a whole lot more fun. I am not sure he would have liked either Bledsoe or Knight but I expect the team as a whole would be far more productive and not had to deal with yoga sessions but learned how to play basketball. How much worse would Chriss be on the defensive end?

As much as I like Mike I doubt this Rocket team is going very far in the playoffs and I expect he will again be blamed as a one trick pony that can only win in the regular season. The West is loaded and if somehow they would manage to get through that gauntlet they will meet Lebron in the finals.

When is the last year we were relevant in the regular season? When will be relevant again?

You like him at #1, over Fultz and Ball?

I'd take Fultz 1st, but I'd take Jackson over Ball. I see all 3 of them as great picks though. I won't complain about ending up with any one of them.

I chose to watch "Walking Dead" reruns, which seemed more appropriate ...

Rich Paul's gonna use film from this game next time he's negotiating a contract extension for Bledsoe.

Just saw that. He was sitting at the free throw line and someone elses guy cut right next to him. All he had to do was take a step or two back to cover the easy pass but he just had no clue.
Defensively, he's a more athletic James Harden, that's it.
