70-8 and 6 while shooting over 50% and doing it in 40 shots. In perspective, Kobe scored 60 on 50 shots in his last game.

And we still lost by double digits??? How does that happen!!
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

The Suns (Watson) are getting roasted a bit for Booker's 70.

On one hand, I kinda get it. But com'on, this team has 22 wins and is playing a bunch of kids. Some people need to stop taking their opinions so seriously.

Pretty amazing. While you can dispute how he got to 70 or whether every point or basket is earned, that is still a pretty crazy statistical milestone. Most points ever scored in a game by a Phoenix Sun, and one of the top individual scoring games in NBA history. More points than MJ, Bird, Magic, Barkley, ... ever scored in a game. That is kind of insane.

Maybe we should just put Booker in the Ring of Honor now.

65 points or more in a loss has been done eight times in league history: seven times by Wilt and once by Devin.

He was at 65 when we started fouling with 45 seconds to go. We only fouled twice, added two extra possessions. He would have got the first possession where he hit 3 free throws regardless. So the fouling probably took him from 68 to 70

Wilt Chamberlain's 78-point game was the NBA record at the time and came in a 3-OT game where Elgin Baylor scored 63 for the Lakers

David Thompson's 73-point game came on the final day of the season in a loss to Detroit (George Gervin scored 63 points that night to squeak by and win the scoring title)

5 of the 11 players scoring 70 or more points went played on the losing team. (Chamberlain came up on the short side in 3 of his 6 70-point games, Thompson and Booker were the only others).

Booker, Thompson and Kobe Bryant are the only guards to score 70 points in a game.

Booker's 21 FGM are the fewest by a players scoring 70 points, his 24 FTM were the 2nd most after the 28 FT Wilt made in his 100-point game.
