The Suns are the 69th team in NBA history to win back-to back games by 30+ points.

The only team to win three in a row is the 1971-72 Suns. (they won the next game by 20)

Good stuff. It's fun to look back at the ancient history of the franchise like that -- that was a Cotton Fitzsimmons team that would eventually finish 49-33, but miss the playoffs.

Those four wins -- Portland by 36, Golden State home and away on back to back nights by 36 and 33, and then Atlanta by 20 -- finished off an eight-game win streak that took the team from a 7-11 record up to 15-11.

Those were very good, tough teams led by Hawk, Paul Silas, and Van Arsdale, and Cotton was always a great coach.

And don't forget Neal Walk!

I love that pic. It bring me back to my youth and Mad magazine. “What, me worry?”

30 games into the season and the Suns are one game behind the Clippers and Lakers.

Who'da thunk it?

I love that we have a log-jam of end-of-the-bench roll players in the back court behind Paul/Booker and they all bring something different.

Although I would prefer if we would have added a big instead of having 4 backup 1/2s.
Agreed, they did an overkill on anchoring the back court bench almost for every need, and then proceed to left the front court depth on Smith and Jones hands. The team got lucky that Frank fell on our lap at the right moment and also has been playing well above his usual self, otherwise we would be on deep trouble. (Or depth troubles, both ways work)

Hopefully we ship some backcourt talent for aggresion, size and athleticism in the form of a 4/5 backup (hopefully on One single player), because if we want to make real noise deep on the playoffs, Frank and Ayton are not going to cut it as our “size”. Bring Bamba and pit him against Ayton on practice, he could not be worse that Smith/Jones.
Think the overkill comes from the last several years of having a plethora of incompetent guards.

Interestingly, no team has ever won a game by 69 (nice) points. The closest was the '91 Cavs, who beat the Miami Heat by a whopping 68 points, with a final score of 148-80. Interestingly the Cavs didn't have any one guy go off for a huge scoring total; in fact, no single player even broke 20 (!). Mark Price had 18; Brad Daugherty had 17. Backup Center John "Hot Rod" Williams (boo) chipped in 16. Steve Smith led the losing Heat with 15 big points in the losing effort.

Don't look now, but my guy Bridges is averaging the same PPG as DA (3rd on the team) with the highest eFG% and TS% on the team. Bridges is only 3 blocks behind DA, and is also second on the team in rebounds. The assists are pretty good, and he has one of the lowest TO% on the team.

I can't say enough about how much I like Mikal's game. He loves to compete, and you can tell that he's just out there having fun with the challenge every night. I hope this guy retires a Sun.

Bridges is pretty clearly the third best player on the team this season, which is both encouraging and disturbing.

The question that is nagging me is can you pay Booker, Ayton and Bridges, and still compete for a championship. As good as Bridges and Ayton are they are not star players. I think if we pay Bridges something close to a regular max (he might even be worth it) it’ll cost us Ayton because we will need the $$ to pay a true second star when Chris leaves or retires. I think I’m fine with it but if that’s the plan do you consider trading Ayton sooner than later?

Is Boogie a possibility here?

Also this: contract would be guaranteed on the 25th.

It's always possible that we're looking to add end-of-the-bench big man depth with that roster spot. But since it's Saver, you can never rule out that he just wanted to save the money on Jones's contract.

I just have a feeling that we are targeting Cousins. I hope I'm wrong.

I just heard that they had a beef with each other back when Cousins was with Sacramento and Chris was with the Clippers. Boogie wouldn't let it go. Not sure they like each other much.

CP3 was asking Cousins to play defense. Boogie would have none of it.

Good thing CP3 never played with Amaré. I remember one game versus the Jazz, where he and Boozer took turns scoring on each other.
