Ehh I don’t think what we do as fans impacts the players mindset.
So, all the talk about homecourt advantage and best fans in the league it’s just marketing to sale tickets? And the player were lying about the difference about playing on empty arenas?

To boot, the crazyness on the airport when they returned from sweeping the Nuggets was just the players pretending to be excited by the warm welcome?

Nurkic throwing away that phone… pure acting?

If so, I stand corrected.

I’m saying fans getting ahead of themselves and getting cocky doesn’t mean the team is doing the same thing. As a fan I can think ahead and it won’t change anything.

And then you have Lakers fans.

I would love that too, but he’s not leaving Memphis
Never say never. Nobody thought Grant Hill would leave Detroit. Or more recently, Lowry/Raps. It isn't very likely, but I can dream. (Although I am really worried about his health over time.)

NBATV is pissing me off. They show the top five MVP candidates. No Book. No Paul. You know who IS on there? Jason Tatum. Give me a f’n break.

I hope book goes flamethrower mode in the playoffs all the way to a ring.

I love people talking up Booker, but he’s also not a real mvp candidate. There’s really only 3 though and I’m leaning towards there only being 2 unless Denver goes on a run.

Booker for sure should be mentioned in that next group. We’ve seen Tatum, Luka, Curry, Ja, and Derozan all get talked about to some degree as mvp candidates and they are all candidates for 4th and 5th, but Booker is right there. I think my ballot right now would be:

1. Giannis
2. Embiid
3. Jokic
4. Booker
5. Morant…though I’ve got Luka and Tatum knocking on the door while Morant is out until the playoffs.

Here's what I don't get and it really does come down to moving goal posts and criteria that change depending on what fits what the NBA is trying to market and sell. So if a player has gowdy stats on a team that is not winning, it's written off as empty stats on a bad team. It seems like the NBA would rather reward a high stat guy that doesn't end up winning at an elite level on a team like Luka. It's just frustrating.

NBA TV posted the MVP criteria last night. It had MVP Criteria at the top followed by a blank screen. :P

Good cuz I just got tickets to the 2nd to last game @ Utah and I really want to win and get to throw out a MVP chant for Booker.

Sportswriters and announcers vote on the MVP, not anyone from the league. And there are no written guidelines how to define the most valuable player.

I don’t think Booker should be the MVP, but I do find it interesting how often a player’s teammates can work either for or against them in these arguments.

I prefer the chip on the shoulder by feeling snubbed, that the target on the back after winning it.

The Suns are destroying expectations as a result of an authentic TEAM EFFORT, even Kaminsky went berserker mode (costing him a knee) to keep the team going when called upon, a true “next man up” mentality from 1 to 15.

Hopefully, te team doesn’t go to deep into the conversation about an INDIVIDUAL award, because it could start another conversation in and out the team about how much anyone adds to the team, causing division and weakening the team efforts.

Cam was not moving around all that great in one video I saw of him working out today. I hope he's back with at least a few games to go before playoffs. He was red hot.
