I have the user data, and I can confirm that Bone mostly browses the site using Samsung Internet browser installed on an early-2000s-era flip phone.

Bud somehow had Atlanta with 4 all-stars in a season, I think he will maximize the talent, at least for the regular season.
The East wasn't anything special that year and the Hawks put together one great winning streak that buoyed those All-Star selections.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for the outcome. He was the head coach of that team.

Maybe after they finish the FO restructuring?

James Jones and Mike Budenholzer are both at the combines in Chicago.

You could probably expect an announcement after that's over.

Out there seeing who wants an average pick in a bad draft. Wonderful time to have a pick.

INF will tell you that there are no bad drafts. Just bad drafters.

You can call it a "bad draft" all you want. But I guarantee there are going to be multiple guys selected at pick #22 or later this year who will end up being really good. If we can't identify and draft them, that's on us.

I’ve also heard there is nothing wrong with the depth of this draft…so it’s not a bad draft if you’re drafting 4-30…it’s just a bad draft if you're drafting 1-3.

That's a good point. Often drafts that people call "weak" are just ones where there aren't very clear top-5 guys to pick. But that can mean that there will still be good guys around in the teens and 20s picks.

I was unable to read this Athletic article about Bud but got these quotes from another site:

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/549466 ... h-players/
The Athletic talked with five former players who have worked with Budenholzer. They described a coach who knows how to keep an entire roster engaged and understands how to navigate the grind of an NBA season. They also described a coach who does not play favorites and knows the importance of accountability.

“I would say Bud is a little bit more hard-nosed than Frank,” Augustin said. “Frank is a really nice guy. He doesn’t yell much. If he does, you’re kind of surprised by it. Bud doesn’t mind getting on guys. He’ll yell, he’ll raise his voice. They’re different in a lot of different ways.”

“He does a great job of managing players’ minutes, making sure everyone is staying healthy,” Mack said. “But the biggest thing is he’s really good with guys off the court. We did a whole bunch of team activities. He does a great job of keeping you engaged the whole year.”
