No but I see these injuries every day. Kevin Love did not fracture his fifth metacarpal. It was his third that was the problem which again anatomically makes sense and is what we see.
The only recent fifth metacarpal fracture I could find was Rondo in Boston, and guess what they made up a bogus story about him falling in the shower and nobody bought it and there were articles about the medical community being skeptical. It’s just not an easy joint to fracture in a fall or otherwise because it’s small and tucked away, you’re much more likely to fracture your wrist or other metacarpals in an injUry unless you directly strike something with that joint.
Unless it was a ligament issue, correct? Seems like it would be extremely rare to need surgery at that joint for something other than a fracture, if you got it hitting some thing/one. Is that fair?
Again, I wish they reported on what surgery was performed, instead of just saying where. It would be like saying "Lebron James had thoracic surgery today" without saying what they did.
Yep if it’s a ligamentous injury then completely different story although it’s less common. I agree, they were really vague and that’s what makes it more suspicious.
At this point, it’s done. I’m just looking forward to him healing up and the season starting. Sad he won’t be there to train with them all camp.

Yeah, well, I think he hurt his hand fighting crime. You have to admit, there isn't any proof that this ISN'T how he hurt his hand. Checkmate, haters and losers!

I think he accidentally went into the wrong apartment and punched a guy he thought was a burglar.

Yeah, it’s by far my favorite suns podcast! Both hosts are very active on the Suns subreddit. It’s another fun community worth checking out.

Dude, r/suns used to be dead af. Maybe a thread or two per week. Ever since the lottery it is a different place entirely.

Yeah, it's crazy how much it has picked up since the lottery. It's one of my best sources for suns news nowadays.
