He's had better seasons and this one is one of his worst.

This probably was a case of team records.

Personally, I would reduce it to 10 slots on each team, and I would be pretty strict about eligibility. You aren't an all-star unless you've played at least 75% of the games and your team has won more than 50% of its games.

It's just tough in the NBA because there are always so many really good players, but the truly great players stay great for so long. It feels wrong to leave out HOF guys like Curry just because his team sucks, but it also feels wrong to leave out Fox because he's obviously as good as several of the guys who made it. I would "solve" the snub drama by shrinking the pool of eligible players and the number of seats.
That's what All NBA is for.
Ya All-NBA gives us the top 1-3% of nba players. All-stars give us the top 5%. That seems perfectly fine. We don’t need it to be restrictive. Especially when you can get someone like Wiggins stealing a spot with fan votes.

JJ reddick is right. Just expand to 15.
If you view the All-Star game's main purpose to be an honorific, a distinction that players can point to for that year, then going to 15 makes sense. But then in the actual All-Star game there are too many guys to play, so everybody gets like 7 minutes of play time.

Here’s a short video of Reddick explaining why it should be expanded.

Here’s the longer version where he gets more in depth if you prefer that

I’m okay with throwing a couple 2nd round picks their way for Drummond and Craig that they can use help get off Levine’s contract

I think the NBA gives out too many honorifics as it is. Gimme 8 All NBA, 20 All Stars, and send home about 1/3 of the guys in the HOF.

With clear restrictions on health and winning, guys would still get their chances. This year, Wiggins, Curry, LeBron, and AD would not be eligible because their teams weren't over .500 when the voting closed. That leaves seats on the roster for the rest of the guys who made it, and I think they do deserve to be there. Last year, Halliburton wouldn't have made it, and that would have opened up more minutes for Fox in the game. To me, that would have been more fun to watch and more meaningful when we look back at their careers.

I'm not sure how gettable Drummond is, but he could work out really well off the bench as far as providing size and rebounding.

Drummond would be excellent. Never thought I'd say that.

No assets to trade. The only way we’re picking up a decent player is if it’s Bridges, where the combination of his contract status and bad PR create a unique opportunity.

Even after he was terrible against the Suns last week. You're a true believer.

It’s more about realistic targets and ones we can retain after this season. Like (I think) Split said, we could potentially get both him and Bridges.

Sure, but still begs the question. Do we really want to retain him?

Ya Bey fits into TPE so don’t actually have to trade any salary for him

There are certainly worse options this year, but I'm skeptical of his next contract returning adequate value.

People ripped them for it, but drafting Brandon Miller over Scoot is looking like a sound decision for the Hornets.

41 today for Miles Bridges.

If we do trade for the Hornets, I wouldn't mind bringing Ish Smith in as well.

Bey hit his shots today. IDK what the Clippers broadcast was looking at, but they claimed he'd only made one above the break 3-pointer all season before tonight which is incredibly inaccurate.
