My hope is that our offense is more versatile than theirs and our main focus is on Curry whereas we are more well rounded and tougher to guard.

I hope Kerr tries to get rotation minutes out of Chris Chiozza. He plays hard, but he's not good. He's basically Jevon Carter without quite the same level of on-ball defense.

Now that I've said it, Chiozza will probably hit a bunch of three pointers or something stupid.

I'll be watching for that and I'll be liberal with the blame if he goes off. :P

The Warriors kill you with runs and momentum. Curry will get hot and nail three 3s in a row from the logo or whatever and they'll score 15 points on you in the blink of an eye. I think our team is well built to battle the Warriors because we play great defense and have steady hands controlling our offense. I don't think we are afraid of this Warriors team; we just went to the Finals, we should be confident in ourselves.

Warriors are having a great season so far, but I don't 100% believe in it. They are relying on Curry being white hot every game, as well as seeing surprisingly good shooting and overall numbers from some guys you wouldn't think you could count on, such as Wiggins and Bjelica. I'm worried that we'll be so focused on Curry that we'll forget that they have some other guys shooting excellently from 3, such as Otto Porter (42.6%) and Gary Payton II (39%).

Wiggins is questionable with back spasms. I'd want him to play so we see them (as of now) at full strength rather than us beat them and have to hear that they didn't have Wiggins or, worse, lose to them without Wiggins.

BTW here's a throwback

"ELEVATES AND DETONATES!" "M-V-Steve."

Leander is such a doofus.

That is a really good word for him. Because as much as I don't want to listen to him call games, or really even talk about the Suns on TV, he seems like a really good guy that is doing a job he loves.

My brother won court-side seats to a game once back in the 97-98 season. At one point Kidd threw an amazing alley-oop that Dyess crushed on top of someone. (Can't remember the exact details here). The crowd went wild. At the next break in action, some unknown friend/acquaintance of Leander bounded up to him as he walked along the baseline and said "Oh my god! Did you SEE that!?!" Leander, with as much giddiness as one person could personify, exclaimed, "Are you kidding? I get PAID to see that! Can you believe that?"

The 7SOL Suns really were fun-n-gun/showtime while the current Suns are much more methodical. Two different brands of basketball but the current team is fun in its own way. They have that Spurs-like steadiness and discipline in their execution but aren't a borefest scoring 94 pts a game. A lot more balance and diverse talent on this current team whereas the 7SOL teams ran thru Nash and dared you to stop him.

The Inside the NBA crew just had a short interview with Ayton. Nothing overly important, just a lot of positivity and support for him and the Suns. I'm sure there'll be a video posted somewhere soon.

Watch out for steals, warriors have some active hands. When we feed Ayton in the post be careful not to get too complacent with the positioning and allow the smaller defender to poke the ball away from behind like Noel did in MSG. Go Suns!

One of my favourite parts about the team is how the chemistry shows up on D. Our communication when switching especially off the ball has been very good and that will be tested tonight.

Yes Mikal will be the primary defender but for certain there will be many instances when Curry is doing his running off multiple screens like a mad man and one of the others will have to tag him when Mikal is too far.
What happens with many teams is that both defenders jump out to Curry and then it's an easy look for whoever got left alone. So watching to see if we can continue to stay on a string. I don't even mind Curry playing well but Poole is streaky, Wiggins is Wiggins both of which I don't care to see us letting get decent scoring nights

Ayton doing exactly what he needs to so far.

DA's locked in. Easy looks in the paint, monster on the offensive glass. Book feeling things out but warming up. Can't let Poole and Curry get rolling. Lost them for a few possessions after scoring and they went right to work from 3.

Poole lit us up and that was when Curry was off the floor. I think Monty may need to leave Mikal out there on Poole for a bit instead of just matching his minutes with Curry. DA and JaVale are getting theirs inside but we can't get 2s and then give up the 3s. The Ws would probably love to keep that going.

Shamet missing so many shots this season has been such a killer.

It looks like he's missing but he's actually shooting 39% from 3... but he does miss a lot of open shots.

We're going small. Hmm.

Otto Porter....we're just not getting out on these shooters. This is a game where Frank would be helpful.

That was not a travel on Cam Johnson. I don't know what the referee saw.
