Was listening to the mismatch podcast yesterday and they talk a bit about how the mindset of our team is pretty rare. Specifically they were talking about how Mikal Bridges could want to go do what Jerami Grant did and score 20 points a game on an awful team, but winning is more important to him.
Anyways, it made me realize exactly what constitutes a James Jones guy. He’s just not going to go after or keep a player who doesn’t have a sacrifice for the team, do anything to win mentality. There’s zero selfishness on our roster and it’s the main reason we are so good.
It’s why Kelly Oubre was moved(well and to get CP3). He had individual ambitions, which I’m not saying are bad, but it’s not how you build a winner. It’s the one area where it makes sense we might be hesitant on Ayton. So far I feel like he’s fit this mentality with his play on the court, but he does occasionally make comments like he’s not 100% on board with that. As long as he keeps playing the right way though, I think you keep him around.
I let the internet (well social media) trick me again smh
Saw this tweet and eagerly clicked on it like yea this should be cool but despite some decent ones it was just same ole same ole with a bunch of Trolls/Haters on anything Suns related
