The worst-case scenario for these playoffs is if we lose early (like first or second round) but Ayton is a monster, averaging 28 ppg and 15 rpg, and Cam J is draining 3s, therefore we are pressured to pay them both a ton of money despite the team having just choked in the postseason.
I don't think so. I’d like them both paid regardless of outcome of these playoffs.

Our problem is paying Shamet 6th man money and getting 9th man results. Having Cam Payne as our backup PG giving us essentially nothing most of the year. Jae Crowder as a stretch 4 who neither stretches nor is playing like a 4.

Our problem IMO will be the misallocation of $$, but not DA or Cam J. Trade Jae and Shamet for more reliable pieces that fit the roles better.
Ok, Jae, Payne and Shamet for one year of old man, LeBron. You've convinced me. Who says no? Haha
Sigh lol

Let's maybe stick with this team through their current, hopefully long, playoff run before trading all their asses. :-)

I want to see how far Suns go these playoffs. Suns def have pieces to trade this summer in the event of an early playoff exit. But future is now. Time for them to knock Pels on their ass.

The problem is coming up with close to $44 million in contracts to trade.

Well it’s not hard when you include Ayton

Jae $10,183,800
Saric $9,666,667
Payne $6,000,000
Shamet $9,598,214
Craig $5,121,951
Total = $40,570,632

And 3 of them are on expiring deals

Lakers will have tons of roster spots to, so you could do that..just not sure why they’d do it. Can’t imagine any of those players would be intriguing. We’d have to be throwing them like 4 1sts

Probably have to give some picks. He is going to be a 38 yr old on an expiring contract with an almost certainty that he leaves after 1 yr.

I get that, he’s still LeBron James though and he dropped 30/7/6 on a 60+ TS% this year. He’s still very much a top 10 player, if not top 5.

I just see no way LA accepts that offer, surely someone would top it. Ayton, Cam J, or Mikal will have to be in it.

If CP3 convinces him and he tells LA he only wants to go to Phoenix, then it could happen.

Maybe Cam J would have to be. If LeBron doesn't sign an extension and there is no indication that he will, because he wants to play on whatever team that Bronny plays for, it's only a 1 yr commitment. Those devalue the player quite a bit, when it's known that he is 95% likely to leave.

That’s true, I just don’t see any benefit to LA trading him for Shamet/Craig/Saric/Payne/Jae…there’s nothing there that would really interest them at all. They’d send him somewhere he doesn’t want to go or just keep him and let him leave in free agency.

Bronny won’t be in the nba for a few years at the earliest so he could easily sign an extension as he’s traded this summer to whatever team gets him. He’d be worth a decent amount still.

Haven’t listened, so don’t know the details, but thank goodness we got rid of that idiot if he was gonna try and trade Mikal for DSJ

Hmmmm
Interesting

If that lineup had 20+ mins like the others it would really be eye opening to have such a big variance. My other take away is how much the other 4 lineups are struggling

Definitely vote NO on Lebron.

I vote with Super to stick with the team we have now that broke a franchise record for wins and is still in the playoffs as we speak.

Does getting rid of Ayton and all those other pieces make us better? I mean, we're already a championship contender with our current roster, 1 year removed from the NBA Finals. Why blow up a substantial chunk of the roster to bring in an aging friend of CP3? It's not like his super teams have been very super lately, along with other super teams. Hard pass from me. It's almost as bad as wanting Ben Simmons.
