It was close.
And Morris missed a shot and an offensive tip on their final possession -

Booker - 6 points
Morris - 7 missed FG

We have an upset!

It is fun to have a game within the game this season.

And you have to give Archie his due. The kid still can't hit a shot outside of 6 feet but he is pretty effective. 20/7/4 with only 2 TO in 42 minutes. And 8/10 from the line.

Archie played a good game tonight (20 pts, 7 ast, 2 trn). Force feeding him PG minutes will probably be good for his game in the long run, even if it isn't helping much in the short term.

Chandler & Len - 10/13 FG, 24 pts, 15 reb

He is fearless going to the basket and it does help to get the other team in the bonus.

Those guys can be pretty effective when they get good passes. And Len was hitting his jumper too.

I really was expecting both numbers to be in double digits....

I'm surprised Leuer hasn't gotten any minutes at all under Watson. Is he still injured? Or just showcasing Markieff at this point.

Nope. There's a tidbit in one of the articles I posted about Leuer being good to go but Watson told him he was going with 4 bigs instead of 5. And Keef & Teletovic got the nod over Leuer.

Suns hung tough for quite a while. I liked their fight.

They mentioned in the broadcast that Watson decided to tighten up the rotation. Leuer is good to go.

Leuer was pretty good for us earlier this season. When he was teamed up with Len they played off of each other really well.

He was also shooting the three at a high percentage. He just doesn't take nearly as many as Mirza. His defense and rebounding are both quite a bit better than Mirza's.

We would be playing better if Leuer got the minutes over Mirza.

Leuer will be playing again once Kieff is traded at the deadline. Assuming we don;t trade Leuer as well but he seems to be on a team friendly deal and could be a role player for the rebuild.

I just assume the franchise does at least 1 correct maneuver this year and trades Markieff. I mean these are professionals in the front office right? There is a plan right? They aren't just guessing right? Right?

Professionals? I guess technically. A banker and an analytics guy.

Well, I got most of what I wanted out of that game. Markieff, Tucker, Teletovic had "good" games for their trade showcase. Goodwin had an impressive line (20-7-4), especially the assists. Booker didn't play well, but Len had 13 big points and 8 boards. We lost. Ping pong balls.

They looked good for 3+ quarters, then I guess Oklahoma decided to put them away or the Suns went into full choke mode. Makes one wonder if it is intentional or not. They seemed to really want to win this game early. They have to be a little sick of losing, even if it is for a good cause.
