How many unprotected first round draft picks would you have to get in return to be willing to take on that contract?

I agree with the exception of adding Bridges to your list of assets I'd prefer to keep.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 9:16 amEh I'd trade either of them if we get Ball back. This team sucks. Nobody we have is too untouchable. If we keep Booker, Ayton, and our 2019 1st rounder, and still get Ball, we won the trade.

They view it as a 12 month injury, so Washington can’t even get a disabled player exemption for next year because he should return sometime next season.Indy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:49 amWon't insurance pay it now that his leg died?Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:46 amSo John wall, already out for the season with surgery on his foot, developed an infection in his heel and when they went in to check it out they discovered he also ruptured his Achilles. I think it has to be career-ending for insurance to pay off. It's extremely rare that insurance pays off on someone who eventually comes back to play, as I assume Wall will at some point.Indy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:49 amWon't insurance pay it now that his leg died?Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:46 amSo John wall, already out for the season with surgery on his foot, developed an infection in his heel and when they went in to check it out they discovered he also ruptured his Achilles. So it would be worth $170M to Washington if that Achilles never works right again...The Bobster wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 12:15 pmI think it has to be career-ending for insurance to pay off. Not ridiculous, the current competition demands you to have at least three shooters in the floor, and I mean it with 3pt range, so we would be forced to accomodate the rest of the lineup around those two or get killed offensively. And still, teams would leave JJ open, sag off Lonzo daring him to shoot and stay at home with the rest of the team, put another non-shooter or a last-year-Warren on the court and we are toast.

LA can't put together a better package than that - at least not without involving a 3rd team that would value some of those assets more.
Re: Around the League: Week 16 1/28-2/3
I'd almost want that trade to go through, that would gut LAs team completely.

Apparently he slipped and fell at home. That's how he tore it. Does that give Washington any recourse?Split T wrote:So John wall, already out for the season with surgery on his foot, developed an infection in his heel and when they went in to check it out they discovered he also ruptured his Achilles. Generally, no, unless he's doing something expressly prohibited in his contract.carey wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 2:56 pmApparently he slipped and fell at home. That's how he tore it.
