Candace proposed that instead of point deferential for tie breakers, they just use current regular season standings for the tie breakers.

The TNT guys thought it was a huge success. Resulted in some very entertaining and competitive games. I do think it could use some tweaks. Something to get away from point differential. That makes sense in soccer but not basketball. Candace mentioned they should use their overall records instead for tiebreakers. At least within their divisions and groups. That makes sense to me. Gotta be something other than running up the score.

I like point differential…made the games more interesting to me. I would make it a tiebreaker for the regular season as well

I agree. The criticism that the stars are at risk playing meaningless garbage minutes is misplaced. The whole point is that now those minutes are now longer meaningless.

While I'm not a fan of an in-season tournament in general, it exists, and I'll enjoy it while it's here. And, we might as well win it.

If we lose vs the Lakers, do we have another game this week?

Yes. Thursday, I believe. Win or lose.

But those are the winners (determine the two Finals teams). Looks like the consolation games are on Friday. Championship on Saturday.

Ya we’d play the loser of Sacramento/New Orleans if we lose

Sorry, you're right. I got mixed up because of the time zone difference for me. Usually when I see a game scheduled on Friday I take that as being played on Thursday over there.

Why we the only team with our second best player on the graphic?

Because he's not our most famous or marketable player.

Two really compelling games today.

A great match up of different styles between Indiana and Boston, and essentially the biggest NBA game of Zion's career since he's never been in playoffs.

It'll be impossible to surpass Christmas Day ratings, but I'm really curious to see what kind of viewership numbers these games pull in compared to other games played in December. I'd bet the Suns v. Lakers will have a higher rating than most first round playoff games.
