I don't know that Kyrie would've helped whatever was going on with us this season. Kidd's got his own baggage and I still don't know if he's a great coach but he seems good enough to get guys to buy in and his teams usually play well. Maybe there's a shelf life or he's good up to a point.

I don't think Lue is leaving the Clips but it'll be interesting to see how/if they blow it up. They might want him on the job to see a rebuild/reload thru. Glad that the Clips are done for now tho, one of my least favorite teams. Hope the Magic take the Cavs out on Sunday too.

That Kyrie shot is sick. I think the Mavs are going to be scary this playoffs, but we'll see whether they can get through the bigger and stronger teams like Minny or Denver.

I know I'm the old man yelling at clouds but I hate the way they view the gather step. Growing up watching basketball that is a clear travel every time. Guy goes from the wing all the way to the corner w/ no dribble? Silly.

I agree. They do seem to just let guys "Euro step" much more now. I don't want them blowing the whistle 200 times a game, but they seem to just not enforce this any more (or have decided it isn't a violation).

I think I'm more annoyed by block/charge shenanigans than travels, but both are problematic.

They changed the rules a long time ago to match how the game was being called anyways. Players didn’t make moves like the one Kyrie did back in the 90’s, but refs were still allowing 2 full steps after the gather back then. Modern players have just started taking those steps sideways and backwards and it looks different than taking them on the way to the hoop. Wording in the rule book was changed in the late 2000s though and that is a completely legal move.

This is actually a big loss for the Mavs. Kleber is one of those role players who nobody plans for in the scouting report, then he hits a couple of big 3s against you.

I mean I get it when people say he’s the most skilled player of all time
I have no idea how that is even remotely true.

When he’s on, his ball handling and shot making are about as good as it gets. Might be the best below the rim finisher as well.

There are probably 100+ highlights of Allen Iverson doing the same or better. Caitlin Clark had a better play than this last night during her preseason debut. Kyrie is a great player. Most skilled of all time is HIGHLY debatable.

Iverson couldn’t shoot like Kyrie…but yes he had a great handle. I’m not saying it’s not debatable, I just get it…it’s not just based off that play from last night either.

Curry would be the guy that I’d put as the biggest competition

I've always thought he was the most skilled scorer around the basket that I've ever witnessed.

For little guys he definitely is
