It's just Sarver's cheapness coming through yet again. He's keeping the team together (at least until next summer...who knows what's happening with extensions for Ayton and Bridges), but he won't spend what it takes to actually improve the roster.
So tired of this take. Give it a rest.
It seems they are not even trying to extend Ayton or Bridges this summer, especially listening to Jones' interview on ESPN last night. Apparently Sarver still hasn't learned from the Joe Johnson fiasco.

DA earned a max contract extension. Period. It should have been offered to him immediately upon free agency. Just like it was for Doncic, Young, and SGA. You don't mess around with the future. It won't surprise me at all if he wants to leave next summer and go to a team that will actually feature him in their offense.
1) Maybe they have already told him they will max him but they needed to sign the other guys first.

2) The other 3 you mentioned are the face of their franchise, and the best player on their team. Most nights, Ayton is 3rd, and some he is 4th.
And how exactly do you know this? Are you in the team meetings? You know all the negotiations that are going on?

Um, I don't *know* this and never said I did. That is why my first word was "Maybe" in my reply.

We don't know what is going on in negotiations.

But assuming we just told him to play out his contract and good luck to him, instead of looking at it in a positive way, isn't all that helpful.

Like I said, I was basing it on Jones' answer about Ayton in his interview at Summer League, and also on the fact that there aren't even any rumors or talk of extensions being negotiated.

I don’t remember hearing rumors about Doncic, Young or SGA extensions either.

Ah, got it. Sorry about that. I was really confused. I have a new monitor and sometimes the bolded text isn't easy to notice on this site.

The Malice at the Palace documentary on Netflix is worth a watch. That'll always be a sports event I'll remember where I was as I watched it unfold on TV. I was never much of Reggie Miller fan, but I remember feeling sorry for him because Indiana really looked like the best team in the East to start that season.

Just sharing this because there's always a moment like in each of the last 3 or 4 seasons where I would see him in a timeout and be like Damn ?!?! UD still on the roster lol

Amazing

There is a lot more than this one, but here is a start.

Let's see how long Luka and Kidd get along...

Thanks. Reminds me of his first marriage. Amazing all the people defending him in that thread.

I am happy as a Suns fan that Jason Kidd is coaching Luka. Whatever delays Luka from getting to his peak is good for the Suns.

Amazing

He’s getting paid now for those years he took pay cuts to fit the big 3 in. He’s really just a coach, I think he only played one game last year and got ejected in like 3 minutes.

Just give me Stanley Johnson and I’ll be happy
Didn't we trade away the pick that became him?

I don't know why I was thinking this. I can't find anything about it, so I must have just made it up in my head, or mixing him up with someone else.

Love it!!!

I can’t stand Beverley, so him going back to irrelevance will put a damp on the “great defensive player” narrative, as Memphis don’t have the big market leverage on referees. And we won’t have to hear how great defense his dirty play was on Booker next time we play the Clippers.

Bledsoe returning to LA, and crumbling at the worst possible moment, sorry for him, love it for the Clippers.
