Sign him now. Move Ayton in a three-way trade for Zach Lavine.

Would he have been unrestricted next year? That’s a super cheap deal and I’m surprised they didn’t take advantage.

We still have bird rights and can re-sign. But that seems unlikely at this point

I thought Bazley would compete with Craig, Todd, Ish, the draft choice and (if you believe the rumor) Watanabe for the other forward position. I'm assuming TJ is gone. Haven't heard anymore about Stanley Johnson. Suns could have three guys in that rotation, possibly.
Perhaps there's another shoe to drop tomorrow.

There was nothing to gain from releasing Cam Payne.

Ya he’s cheap. He’s not some elite backup pg, but he’s an nba rotation player and we don’t have a lot of those. He was our best player in game 6 pretty easily

Under contract (8) - Durant, Booker, Beal, Ayton, Payne, Goodwin, Wainright, Todd
RFA tendered qualifying offers (2) - Landale, S. Lee
UFA rumored to be wanted back (2) - D. Lee, Craig
UFA status unknown - Biyombo, Warren, Bazley, Ross

Personally, I'd like to see Biyombo back because he' gives them something noone else really does as a rim protector. And I like Craig, but wonder how much they can afford to pay him. I'm not as sold on D. Lee of S. Lee. I'd like to think there might be some better players available at the minimum.

The good news is we can tamper as much as we want—Ishbia doesn’t care about fines and we have no draft picks for them to take away from us. Jk

Wasn't Chris Haynes the same reporter who said that Chris Paul would be released?

Same guy. Same guy who I beefed with in DMs for calling him a Klutch mouthpiece a couple years back.
Go Suns!

Should have included him, but I think he'll probably be looking for more money than the Suns can give him.
