Whole lotta nothing going on. We've been linked to KMJ for a few years now. I think there's a bit more offensive skill and some KMart athleticism and he plays bigger than 6-5 but he's still a 6-5 wing at the end of the day.

I like that he’s an athlete…feels like a Nassir replacement to me. Going to have to fill out the roster if we make a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 trade like it would take to trade for a Royce or Bridges. I guess I’m saying I don’t think this would be our big move…would be a secondary one. I’d be cool with it. He’s cheap, young, and we’d have some contract control. Kinda like a Goodwin situation.

We should probably all mentally prepare ourselves for this kind of trade deadline outcome. For as much as we want a wing, so does probably every other contender and they have more to offer than we do.

I thought it would just be egregious staring and back pain.

Ya I agree..the reason we’re talking about Bridges is because he’s cheaper due to his off court issues…KJ Martin isn’t even playing for Philly..he’s not on a different level than the rest of our bench guys we already don’t want to play

I kinda think so too…I hate to admit it, but this team isn’t winning a championship without a player of that talent level coming in

Book is now averaging 28.6 ppg. He’s officially our leading scorer by .1 over KD who’s averaging 28.5.

28.6 ppg
7.3 apg
4.9 rpg

50/39/88

Even then, I don't know how you win anything when your biggest issues are self inflicted.

Just a pure talent advantage…the suns would have an absolutely loaded squad. They might not figure it out, but there’s not a team with that much talent in the nba. With how long it’s taken them to get accustomed to eachother so far, I don’t have a lot of faith they’d be able to figure it out adding another major piece to the puzzle.

Agreed. Roster talent isn't losing games and causing terrible 4th quarters. Bridges doesn't fix 4th quarter execution.

He could help. He’s another guy that can create his own shot. He can also screen for Book…if they double Book and they make the easy pass to Bridges, Bridges can attack. I think they need to be more aggressive in the 4th. Just go at the rim over and over if they double Book.

Gambo was saying last week that we are not interested in Richards but now saying we are…weird. This makes me believe even more that we are trading for Bridges. 🙃

Here’s why.
Richards is nice but how much could the Hornets actually get for him? Like is someone really going to trade a 1st for him? Don’t really think so we’re probably talking multiple 2nds picks. His salary is great but I think it can be limiting. For 5 mil what are you getting back if you’re the hornets? Basically vet mins, maybe the can get an interesting prospect but that prospect is probably pretty raw because if he wasn’t, they wouldn’t be trading him and definitely wouldn’t be adding 2nds too. They could package him but with who? Caleb Martin? Not really exciting. I think they end up keeping PJ Washington so I doubt him either. Which leads me to my next point…

I get feeling we’re the only team in the market for Bridges that he’d waive his NTC for and we’re not really interested in giving multiple 2nds because the blow back we are going get and because he’d only be a rental. Hornets don’t want to pay Bridges at the end of the day and Richards and Bridges are players that would fill immediate needs for while also being in our salary range too. I think I read we have up to 5 2nds we can trade too. So here’s the deal

Hornets- Little, Metu, Yuta, Eubanks, 4 2nds

Suns- Bridges and Richards

Edit: I do think it’s unlikely we get Richards too but I think it’s very likely we get bridges.

He says they aren’t interested in Richards in the tweet. It’s Bridges he says they have interest in.

I just don’t see why Charlotte would move him at all. He’s young, cheap, and producing. He’s under contract for multiple years too. Unless he’s asking out, they should absolutely just keep him.

My bad, I misread it, I’m at work lol. I still fully expect Bridges to be a sun after February 8th, is my main point. I hope not tho.

Ya I think it’s fairly likely too…I’ve come to the realization that I have no control over what the suns do…so what happens will happen and I’m not going to get overly worried about it. I can still hope we get Royce O’Neale though

Yep, we have no control plus I’m not letting that piece of shit, who we’d have for half the year, ruin my multiple decades of fandom.
