I’m watching Untold Malice at the Palace on Netflix and I realized that the Indiana Pacers have never won a championship. This made me want to know all the teams that haven’t won it all. There are 11 active teams that fit the bill. Here they are from oldest to newest:

Pacers (1967)
Nets (1967)
Nuggets (1967)
Suns (1968)
Jazz (1974)
Clippers (1984)
Hornets (1988)
Timberwolves (1989)
Magic (1989)
Grizzlies (1995)
Pelicans (2002)

4 of the 5 oldest teams have all lost in the Finals. From that group, only the Nuggets haven’t made it past the conference finals.
You're having it a little bit both ways here, 'Bone. If you're going to count the ABA franchises as existing since the start of the ABA, then you should include their championships in that league - Indiana won three times, in 1970, '72 and '73, and the Nets in '74 and '76. The Nuggets also made the finals in '76.

Seems to me like you should either start all those teams in the year they joined the NBA (for the '76-77 season), or remove the Pacers and Nets from the teams that haven't won championships.
I’m not having anything. Got it from an article. I don’t care about ABA Championships. I’m only talking about NBA championships.

I went back and edited the post and added the source.
Yeah, but if you only include the years they've been in the NBA, then the Suns are the oldest NBA franchise without a championship.
True dat.

And then there's this record keeping mess -

Hornets-Pelicans 1988 to 2021
Bobcats-Hornets 2004 to 2021

No matter what the league tries to tell you.

Hmm. I doubt he'll get anywhere with that. I don't think it's a crime to be a crappy agent. Sucks that Paul didn't treat him properly, though. I do think he got some really bad career / contract advice.

Oh -- I think he's got a pretty good case. Multiple instances of this:
Taking Paul's advice, again, Noel declined the player option on his second year but later signed another one-year league-minimum deal with OKC in July 2019. According to the lawsuit, the 76ers and other league teams attempted to contact Paul to discuss deals of possibly signing Noel but Paul did not return their phone calls.
Why am I not surprised that Rich Paul has been pulling this shit. He's trying to build power in the league and using his players as pawns. I believe that a policy of never signing any Rich Paul client is a good one for the Suns.

RIch Paul has poisoned the well many a time. Has the rep of trying to push players out of small market cities. PAul won't lose this lawsuit because he's a silver tongued devil but he deserves the worst. He's the epitome of a filthy used car salesman in the sports agent world.

I agree that there's a lot of bad/shady conduct in there. But is any of it illegal? Is an agent required to pass along calls or offers to his client? I would assume that it is frowned upon but not actually a crime. But I'm no expert in the area.

I don't think he is alleging a crime, right? Just breach of contract (or not fulfilling contractual obligations)?

I guess we’re not getting Nance or Markannen. Damn.

There is still hope for Thad Young or Kevin Love. **crossing fingers**

Two hopefuls out in the same deal, bummer.

And it didn't seem to cost very much for them.

If I got this right:

Out-->In for Cleveland
Nance + 2nd ronder --> Lauri at 4 yrs/67M

Bulls
Lauri --> Jones + non-lotto 1st + 2nd rounder

Portland
Jones + non-lotto 1st --> Nance

Seems like not a lot of change for Cleveland, a down-grade for the Bulls in the hopes those picks turn into something good, and a good upgrade for Portland.

This is where Dario's injury is the biggest bummer. We could have been the 3rd team in this deal had he been healthy.

NBA posted a video of the "Best moments from 2020-21 season". The only Suns sighting is a split second view of Chris Paul dribbling up court.

QQ: Is buy out candidate K Love > healthy Dario?
Dario is so inconsistent, IMO Love would provide more consistent points, creation, and rebounding off the bench.

This is just more of a narrative that other fan bases and media are pushing that the Suns run was illegitimate and they actually weren't good at all. No one thought that the Suns were going to be a top 8, let alone a top 5 team, and by them calling the Suns an illegitimate Finals team, along with 4 straight losses to the Bucks is just confirmation bias on their part.
