I really f*** hate the Lakers, my friends. The thought of getting swept by them makes me sick.
Phew! Sweep averted! As soon as I saw Reggie Bullock in their starting lineup, I knew we had a chance.

Also loved hearing the Phoenix crowd beat out the LA crowd. A lot of satisfaction from the Phoenix faithful in the stands.

Most enjoyable first half to watch all year. Love them running the offense through Ayton. They still don’t have a clue how to pass to him but the mentality is there.
Throw it up high, idiots!

I don't understand these calls, were Booker is in the act of shooting but they call it on the ground and then Josh Hart gets an and one when he's on the ground.
That was horrible. The refs were plain bad.

lakers body language is so bad right now :o
PLEASE don't screw this up guys !!
Of course the Lakers broadcast didn’t show it but I just saw on NBA TV where a frustrated James purposely threw the ball off the back of the backboard when inbounding the ball to turn it over back to the Suns. Wow.

The best part is this might have been the beginning of the end for the Lakers season. Love it!

LeBron was also a little bitch and ran off the court without shaking anybody’s hand. Booker started walking down court and LeBron was long gone. He had to settle for Rondo.

Phoenix, which entered the game an NBA-worst 12-51, is the worst team James has lost to while playing in his NBA career (minimum 25 games into a season), per ESPN Stats & Information.

Lakers 23 FTA
Suns 40 FTA

When’s the last time we saw a free throw disparity like that in our favor?!

Ayton with 14 free throw attempts! 26 points on 11 field goal attempts, 10 rebounds.

Best game of the season. Anytime you beat Lebron AND the Lakers it’s a good game. You could really see they wanted this game bad, specially Ayton. That’s actually the second game of the entire season where I could tell Ayton was fired up. He did most of his schooling in AZ. He has to know and feel the Lakers animosity Suns teams and fans throughout the years have felt. They were talking about Igor being especially animated as well so maybe it was something else.

I was positive the Suns were going to lose when they started running out the clock with I think was 4:30 to go. Everything went the Lakers way and the Suns went into total choke mode. Like in the Miami game I was wrong.

What’s the deal with Warren? Sprained an ankle and is out 16 straight games? That seems long.

That was horrible. The refs were plain bad.
They just need to go back to the old interpretation of the rule. Both were in the act of shooting and they've just made a judgement call more difficult.

Three other rules that do need cleaned up -

- stop rewarding offensive players who initiate contact in order to draw fouls.
- start calling offensive fouls on players who dislodge defensive players in the post
- call offense fouls all of the moving screens we see

It's hard enough playing defense in the league without the officiating giving the offense all the breaks.

I was relatively emotionless during this game. I should have been happier or invested, but I wasn't and I think this season has taken a toll on my Suns fandom.

Especially the ones where a guy tries to bullyball you running full speed lowering his shoulder into the defender in order to draw the foul. Those shouldn't be rewarded imo.

Great win. Any time the Suns beat the Lakers, it's blue skies.
A few observations:
* Josh Jackson has a knack for the lob to Ayton, perhaps better than anybody else on the team.
* Jackson is long and a good athlete, but he should NOT be playing against centers. JaVale McGee looked like Wilt Chamberlain out there ...
* Re: McGee ... foul him and send him to the line (career FT percentage is under 60%).
* Teammates fed the post and Ayton responded. Bravo
* Oubre was very disruptive on defense
* Overall, it the Suns devoted more energy to defense last night than perhaps any other game this season. Bravo.
* LeBron looks like he's at a party he wants to leave. Beer is flat and warm, girls are ugly and party guests are dorks ...

If there's one game I would wish to win this season, it's one against the Lakers. Always feels great, even if we don't really want to get any wins this season. I love sticking it to the Lakers fans infesting our arena. Also great to see Ayton have such a good game.

I am delighted to see the Lakers struggle so much this year. I believe that in our season predictions thread, I said that I was strongly tempted to pick the Lakers to miss the playoffs. I didn't believe in the signings they made to surround LeBron. It's a deeply flawed team that isn't actually very talented and doesn't really fit together well. And LeBron is no longer in his prime, that much is clear.

Luck the Fakers! YSMF!!
