No energy or effort or pride the first half. Just getting dicked down by the shitty Mavs...then Jamal Crawford happened. Holy shit.

When Crawford hit 30 the rest of the team was like oh shit, we better start playing. Pathetic effort by each player up until that point.

Amazing performance by Crawford. More impressive than Bookers 59 IMO because of the age factor.

I hope Crawford can transition to a coaching role next year but hel probably still want to play.

The rest of tonight’s team... I hope only Bridges is back from that group. I’ve seen enough of the loser play and attitude from the rest.

Bender got absolutely rolled by Dirk and anyone else and refused to attack him on offense. Not what I need to see from a guy fighting for his NBA career.

Josh and his 17 technicals can go fuck off somewhere else next season. He’s not good enough to warrant that many. He’s shown he’s not a winner.

The others just have accepted losing without putting up much of a fight so they are all replaceable and I hope they are.

Another gloomy season in the books. That should tide me over until October and if they fuck up the off-season then probably longer

Good season, fellas. Remember how it started with that first game against Dallas and we were all so hopeful? And then like 3 games later we all knew we were in for another turd of a year?

Props to all of us that toughed it out.

Jamal came out and hit and I was like, cool. Then he went cold and I started cursing the Jamal show. Then he lit it up and I started cheering the Jamal show. Fans are so fickle. At least he made an otherwise depressing game interesting.

Another year ends without being in the playoffs. I dare not guess what happens in the offseason. We know what they need. They know what they need. Ayton and Booker and future All Stars if they ever make the playoffs. We have some really good pieces already. I might think about being part of that if I am a free agent PG or PF looking for a good home. We have some chips and a good draft pick coming. Git’er done.

I predict a 40 win season next year and squeak into the playoffs the year after that.

Tom Chambers scored 50 twice for the Suns. Other Suns with 50-point games: Tony Delk, Cliff Robinson, Amare’ Stoudemire and Charles Barkley (playoffs).

Devin Booker (twice) and Crawford scored 50 points this season for the Suns. Of note: the 88-89 Suns had four players score 40 or more points … Tom Chambers, Armen Gilliam, Eddie Johnson and Kevin Johnson.

The most amazing stat to me in all of that was that Armen scored 40. 1988 was the first year I really started to follow the team more than casually, and I just don't remember him being such a scoring threat.

So I had to look it up.

He scored more than 30 points a total of 9 times in his 13 year career.

* Armen scored 41 on 26 shots.
* The Suns only played 8 guys
* We took 1 three all game (Majerle made it)
* Our backcourt (KJ, Horny, Majerle) combined for 28 assists.
* Jeff went 3-10 in the game. (I now need to look up how many games that guy took 10 shots with zero 3PA and didn't make at least 4.)

So to answer that last question on Jeff, out of his 1077 games played, he did that (appropriately) 14 times.

Gilliam was a solid half-court player, but Cotton's up-tempo style was not conducive to Armon/Armen's success.
Plus he and Chambers did not play well together.
They tried to use Gilliam as a center, but he was MIA on defense.
So he was traded to Charlotte for Kurt Rambis, a prototypical dirt worker who didn't need the ball (welcome on a team loaded with scorers).

I just want to note what a positive step this is from last season, where you would have been Kinison yelling "SHOOT the damn ball!!!" His aggressiveness on offense took a big leap forward this year. It's a real shame his shot abandoned him.

Did you know he led the team in FG% at the rim? 74.7%! Last season he was 20% worse.

Seriously, all of them seemed ok when they walked up in their Exit meetings and Booker made the trip to Miami to see Wade's last game and party with him afterwards, but none of them were good enough to go to Dallas to cheer on the guys that actually pushed to play? This seems odd to me.

Exactly. It was a shitty move by them. Took a bit of a vacation instead of supporting their team.

They didn’t go to Houston either...I think stayed back for treatment of injuries
