Don't recall that, just remember the 45 vs 50 and JC telling Sarver to give him the money and get it done.

JJ wanted 50, Sarver wouldn't move from 45.
That is right. Had my 5 in the wrong spot. He didn't like the idea of paying him 10M/year.

The 2 mill I remember (incorrectly mind you) looks like was for clearing space so they could match I guess but they never matched. Here is the whole story again:

This was interesting:

Two terribly shooting wing players. The Suns have had a number of them recently, but it's Twitter so probably Josh Jackson and Oubre.

We got a Post article!!! National coverage is nice to see.

Chris Paul and the Suns are surging. How long will the magic last?

I'm not sure what Orlando has to do with it though.

At the 2/3 mark of the season, here's a breakdown of the team's record against everybody else:

Code: Select all

Team Record	Remaining
---- ------	---------
East: 14-6

Atlanta 1-0	+1 R
Boston 1-0	+1 R
Brooklyn 0-1	+1 R
Charlotte	1-1
Chicago 2-0
Cleveland	1-0	+1 R
Detroit 1-1
Indiana 1-1
Miami 1-0	+1 H
Milwaukee	1-0	+1 R
NY Knicks	0-0	+2 H,R
Orlando 1-1
Philadelphia	1-0	+1 R
Toronto 2-0
Washington	0-1	+1 H

West: 20-8

Dallas 3-0
Denver 1-2
GS Warriors	2-0	+1 R
Houston 1-0	+2 H,R
LA Clippers	0-1	+2 H,R
LA Lakers	2-0	+1 R
Memphis 2-1
Minnesota	2-1
NO Pelicans	2-1
OK City 1-1	+1 R
Portland 2-0	+1 H
Sacramento	1-1	+1 H
San Antonio	0-0	+3 H,Rx2
Utah 1-0	+2 Hx2
Right now, there's only one team that has multiple wins against the Suns, and that's Denver, who had back-to-back overtime wins in Phoenix just prior to the team going on its current 26-6 run. The game after those losses was the first against OKC this season, which became a third consecutive loss to drop the team to 8-8; the Suns haven't lost back-to-back since that time.

Also notable that there's still a chance to win at least one game against every other team in the league, as the only teams we haven't currently beaten are Brooklyn, Washington, the Clippers, and San Antonio and New York (the last two we haven't yet played this season). Out of those, it seems like the toughest win to get by far will be the one at Brooklyn, since it's our only chance and on the road; slightly helping is that it'll come after our only remaining stretch of two consecutive days off, so there should be time to practice and get accustomed to the surroundings. Against everybody else on that list, we have at least one more chance at home.

Of the last 9 losses, they should have won 8 of them. That's quite a run, after starting the season without Saric and taking time to get the chemistry going with Book & CP3.

How the heck is Mitchell ahead of Booker? Kevin Pelton had him rated as 10th, and didn't even rate Hands in his top 25. Seems crazy. How is that Celtics team doing right now?

Maybe it is because of the week he has had, but I am not sure I would put any of them ahead of Book. The closest would be Luka.

Mine would go:
1. Luka
2. Zion
3. Booker
4. Tatum
5. Simmons
6. SGA
7. Murray(was 12th)
8. Mitchell
9. Bam
10. Fox

Ball is great, but I’m not ready to put him ahead of any of these guys yet. Maybe Fox. Bam is hard for me to rank as he’s really the only big. I just left him at 9.

Flip Simmons and Mitchell and move Book and Tatum ahead of Zion and you got my rankings

Should note that the list is based on future potential...which helps explain Ball at 3...still way too early in my opinion to put him that high. He’s flashed, but small sample size still applies.

Also, Mikal came in 17th, 1 spot behind Trae. Ayton was 20th.

So they’re assuming Ball will average better than 26/5/5 on 50% shooting in the future? FOH. Continue to disrespect Book. It’s ridiculous. Most of these players will never touch the efficiency Book has shown.

Not only does Book belong at or near the top of this list, he should be in the top 5 of MVP voting as well. The big market/east coast bias is ridiculous.

The fact that we’re STILL talking about Ben Simmons “potential” is also ridiculous. Dude can’t shoot, won’t shoot, will never shoot. How many years in the league until we finally come to that realization? He doesn’t belong in the top 10 really.
