It was a foul, but whatever. A timeout right there was probably beneficial anyway.

Monty always wastes challenges on calls you know won't get changed, and now we can't challenge whether Giannis had possession when he called timeout. Refs just bailed the Bucks out bigtime for a last shot.

If he had possession it’s a travel. If he didn’t you can’t call timeout. Seems pretty simple
