Are you saying Monty threw the game because he preferred the Clippers to the Warriors as an opponent?

I don’t think it was the primary reason, but I’m sure keeping GS at 6 was a nice bonus. I still don’t think we would have played our starters if the Clippers had the 5 seed clinched though.

Well I didn’t watch the game so I can’t speak to any decisions Monty made during the game. I just don’t think we would’ve played any different personnel if GS getting 5 wasn’t an option.
Though if we needed to beat LAC to avoid GS, that would’ve been interesting to see if we tried.
