I wouldn't mind Gasol as long as the money is reasonable and the deal is short.

Only if we strike out on the rest of our targets. 2 years at 10mill each, team option on the second year. We would include him a VIP pass for our training staff.

why do you ask? are you thinking of trying to get him?INFORMER wrote:Aside from sdc, does anyone else have interest in Pau Gasol?
Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
I wouldn't mind him at all as long as it isn't a huge money long term deal. He is very skilled and could mentor our young guys, and he has a good attitude. I just opposed trading for him and losing assets in midseason.

I'm not opposed to a one yr deal worth 10 mil, as long as the suns keep everybody else.Mori Chu wrote:I wouldn't mind him at all as long as it isn't a huge money long term deal. I'd rather pass. Gasol just doesn't seem to fit the kind if team we're building - he's slowing down, isn't a great defender and while he's a tremendously skilled scorer and passer from the post he pouts if he's not getting the ball there what he considers enough (which with dragic and Bledsoe and our 3 point bombers is unlikely to happen).
I'd rather develop Len and Plumlee this season. If we did feel the need to bring in someone I'd rather it be a defender/rebounding type.

I had interest in him at the deadline. Now I don't know how high he'd be on my list. If we spend this summer, depending on the draft I want to go after Hayward as FA and Gibson via trade. If Pau took 4/20 with the fourth season partially guaranteed, I'd do it too.

maybe you can convince him to accept that, ring.Ring_Wanted wrote:If Pau took 4/20 with the fourth season partially guaranteed, I'd do it too.

I'd have interest, but he most likely could get more years and $ then what I would be offering.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Is this enough to get Love?
Goodwin, Len, Morris, #14, #18, Lakers 2015, Phoenix 2015, Minnesota first round pick.
Would you do it?

No, I wouldn't

And the voices were unanimous. I was just curious. It takes a lot to get a lot. I don't even know if it would get it done but it would definitely gut our youth. The remaining team probably wouldn't be enough to really challenge in the West. What it tells me is we should probably move forward without Love and continue to grow organically. Maybe adding a couple key vets along the way. The problem is all the top teams have a superstar and I don't see a way for us to acquire one. It will be tough to get one from the draft when we continue to have a decent record.

No way, it would be Melo to Knicks all over again.
Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves
No it wouldn't. The Knicks didn't have anyone near the level of Bledsoe or Dragic after they made the trade for Melo. They had Stoudemire but he was a poor fit with Melo and he got injured. So I really don't think that comparison works.Aztec Sunsfan wrote:No way, it would be Melo to Knicks all over again.
And 'bone: I don't think Minnesota would insist on Alex Len, not when they have Pekovic and Dieng.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.
